Whew lad, I haven't seen a tornado outlook in the new "significant severe" category they created earlier this year. Chicago Metro is going to catch multiple tornadoes over the next few hours. The supercells over Peoria now will only intensify because the first wave wasn't enough to suck even a fraction of the energy out of the atmosphere. It's 94 now in Indy, and humidity from the lakes probably push it well past 100 in Chicago, and at least here it's been peak surface heating all day.
