lol, still only 138.
How many days has it been stuck at 138? Four days? Five days?
>>
>>536888946
Gary, this will be the last time we meet. This thread won't get even 50 replies before it fails. No one cares about pandemics anymore! AHHHH
>>
>>536889031
Early on they were talking about it spreading to Europe and Americas but it seems like simply another Africa outbreak
>>
>>536889031
I care
>>
>>536889418
I know, nothing happened with it, there is still a chance of that happening .

Thanks anon, your support is appreicated.

I want lockdowns, make it spread
>>
>>536890974
Meme magic only works if more anons post!
>>
>>536889418
Yet, also, as far as you know it hasn't spread.
At the start people said it couldn't spread without interaction with leaking fluids but now the WHO is investigating spreading without contact due to cases as such
Countries are claiming its "political" to shut down travel from Africa due to Ebola and that the (((science))) says its okay to allow free travel
This is following the early stages of covid pretty closely just not to the same speed because unlike covid if they want another pandemic this one needs to actually cause damage. Unlike the flu, Ebola has a 40% mortality rate which is high enough that people will fall in line but not too high that you won't have people leftover to control. World cup started today, just eyeball it for a month or so, doesn’t cost you anything to just check in from time to time.
>>
>>536891800
Indeed I will keep making threads even if they don't get much attention as eventually it will be a situation where people can't not pay attention.

>now the WHO is investigating spreading without contact due to cases as such
Any good info on this? I haven't seen anything suggesting it can spread other than via fluids like usual
>>
>>536892317
Getting information out of the congo isn't easy, but look at the case counts. Even if we assume its much higher, it paints a picture that at the very least it speads as the west African strain did which people suspected back then had some ability to transmit via coughing etc.

I am 100% ready, spiritually and mentally, for the coming lockdowns from the dual global pandemics of the Hantavirus and the Ebolavirus.
I even have a racing chair for cozy Forza time!
>>
>>536891040
Too few anons for "meme magic" to kick in, unfortunately
>>
3.8¢ for Yes on Polymarket for the Hantavirus pandemic chance... That is a record low!
Meanwhile the Ebola pandemic chance remains stable at 8.0¢ for Yes

https://www.straitstimes.com/world/ebola-patient-from-congo-travelled-to-uae-and-uganda-who
Read the part where it says health officials are trying to make sense of rapidly changing surveillance data. Also check that they're assessing risk of exposure during travel and isolated 16 people in UAE and 58 in Uganda from a single traveler.
If it only spreads through fluids like they claim, why are they assessing exposure risk during air travel? Why would a single asymptomatic passenger warrant isolating 74 contacts across two countries?

They don't say it explicitly but the actions don't match the messaging. The surveillance data is showing something that doesn't fit what they've been telling people about transmission.

Don't do this anon....

>Ebola testing stalled in three Congo labs due to shortages, says WHO
Hm, didn't see that initially ....
>May 29-30: Remove 700 suspected cases, announce they're switching to "confirmed only" reporting
>June 7: Turns out three major labs are out of testing supplies with backlog of untested samples
Result: The suspected cases they "removed" were probably just untested backlog they couldn't process

So they didn't actually prove those 700 were negative. They just removed them from the count because testing failed and they couldn't confirm them either way.
Then by switching to "confirmed only" they hide the fact that there's a massive pile of untested samples sitting in labs with no reagents.
The case count looks like it went down (from ~1,350 to ~600) when really it just means "we stopped counting the ones we can't test."
It's not even technically lying. Confirmed cases are more reliable than suspected. But the timing of making that switch right as testing capacity collapsed is pretty convenient. Makes it look like they have control when they actually just stopped measuring the problem.

That's how you can have an outbreak that's accelerating while the official numbers look stable.
Buckle up buckaroos

>>536895816
Kek anon the numbers are probably up to 5k by now.

Going to bed. Thread will probably die by morning... It's been nice, friends.

Nobody in shithole Africa can afford a plane ticket, much less a ticket to a match.
This will continue spreading as it has been. World cup is meaningless.
