This is because we concluded that if we established an EU-like union in Far East Asia, we would inevitably suffer from tens of millions of low-wage workers and illegal immigrants from China, and ultimately face ruin due to industrial hollowing out. Based on the standards of South Korea or Japan, the disparities in economic and wage levels among Northeast Asian countries are too vast, and China's population is absurdly large to create an EU-like economic union in the region.
