Nothing in the lane turning right. My only guess is that the pedestrian stopped in such brazen way only because he knew he was in his right, no other way to act so confidently when you are wrong. I can see myself doing the same exact thing if I am crossing on a green light, but doing the same thing on a red light is beyond unthinkable. Maybe I am adding too much logic and whiteness into the situation by expecting the Russians to act white and not break the law, but one of the sides is definitely in the wrong and that's the side on a red light.

My assumption came from the idea that it's not logical to cross the street when it's not green at all, especially this brazenly. So if the pedestrians are on a green light then the driver is on a red and vice versa. One of the sides is definitely in the wrong. Come to think of it, maybe the green light is misplaced from where you'd expect it to be. The silver/white car is waiting for the left turn lane light to become green, which would happen at the same time as the other road's pedestrian light glows green. In which case the silver car would just let the pedestrians pass and turn left. This is why I am inclined to think the green light we see is for the pedestrians crossing the street and the driver is most likely in the wrong. But then again, can't really know for sure. The simple answer is "whoever is on red deserves the beating".
