I'm a foid, and I'm hitting the age where I actually need to start thinking about having children. The main thing preventing me from doing it now is how expensive it is. I probably will not be financially stable until I am in my 30s. I support most conservative social ideas. But there's a few clear flaws in how conservatives are going about things. They push for white women to have more kids, but a lot of white people won't do it if it means sliding into poverty. Third worlders and browns don't care as much, because poverty is what they already know. It's expected. Meanwhile we were all raised with an ideal: a family usually has a house, kids with their own rooms, a backyard, a car, Christmas presents, etc.That lifestyle is becoming out of reach for more and more people. Yet conservatives, especially Trump types, act like the worsening economy isn't their problem. They pour so much energy into banning abortion and love pointing out that ~95% are done for economic or social reasons, not rape or life-threatening issues. They use that stat to say most abortions aren't truly "necessary." And that's probably true. But then they do basically nothing to fix the economic or social pressures driving that 95% in the first place. Conservatives should put more effort into supporting mothers, because if we actually want our children to have a good life, it's not as simple as just getting pregnant.
Why support women when they're strong independent and brave?
Because Israel needs another billion dollars.
