It started from boomers parents and trickled down. The actual clear patterns of this kind of widespread abuse(largely falling under something called CPTSD) is nightmarish. Real CPTSD, its impossible to fake as its borderline treatment resistant since its a nervous system issue vs mental. A key take away is having “no hope” in getting justice or reaching out to other family, the victims are chronically ganged up on and discounted. Healable, but its massive effort and lots of therapy styles make it worse. Boomers and their parents were a really fucked up generation.
