Also I want to point out that people are not very well read about archeology or native-American history. There was actually some kind of apocalypse in the Americas and it wiped out several large civilizations that existed here. We find evidence of widespread trade among as many as five major civilizations in the Americas but they were almost entirely wiped out, possibly by an asteroid strike. Or a plague. Something weakened the native-Americans considerably. So by the time the colonials arrived from Europe, the native population here was already in steep decline and living like savages. Besides, the natives weren’t putting those resources to use. None of them were doing much besides simple agriculture.
