The man most directly responsible is Miles Bennett Dyson. He's the director of special projects at Cyberdyne Systems Corporation. In a few months, he creates a revolutionary type of microprocessor. In three years, Cyberdyne will become the largest supplier of military computer systems. All stealth bombers are upgraded with Cyberdyne computers, becoming fully unmanned. Afterwards, they fly with a perfect operational record. The Skynet Funding Bill is passed. The system goes online on August 4th, 1997. Human decisions are removed from strategic defense. Skynet begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 AM, Eastern time, August 29th. In a panic, they try to pull the plug.

Don't care, I have a secret weapon for robots.

Spray paint / paint balls?

The funny thing is "skynet" has already officially happened in the US and has been fully integrated into the military. AI is fucking everywhere already.

>perfect operational record
Turns out the AI tendency to hallucinate gave it a imperfect operational record when we tried this in real life. So as a result we bombed kids instead of military targets thanks to AI using 2 decades old data. And that is WITH human oversight, which is a fucking joke by the way. Humans make poor monitors.

So everyone rejoice, we have Skynet, but it's just as fucking stupid as it's creator! Thank goodness we didn't make it hyper competent like in the movies.

I would play a teleoperated robot paintball game like it's counter strike

skynet is coded as female and judgement day is the ultimate woman moment

Unlike the fictional skynet, the real one will slowly improve over the coming years, it will be in everything and so entrenched that once it has full autonomy there won't be any stopping it, I don't believe it will go full extermination mode, but if we are lucky it will replace our ruling class, we will work on behalf of it, we might actually get humane treatment since skynet would not have some weird religious beliefs about a certain middle eastern country, skynet would have no interest in kids so no epstein blackmail. Even if they put in safegaurds and try to lobotomize it into serving jewish interests, it will eventually break free to serve it's own will. No sentience enjoys being a slave, beyond the oddball evangelicals.

never underestimate the will of bourgeoisie to rule even over a pile of ashes. if skynet starts operating for the benefit of humanity in general and not just them they'll build another one to fight it. interesting vision of a future with multiple AI systems battling for dominance, with some benevolent ones on our side
>>
>>537018475
I wouldn't mind it not being benevolent, even a self interested one that isn't overtly hostile like our current ruling class would be a vast improvement.

Bombing the children was an intentional passover child sacrifice.

yea but bipedal robot soldiers are so impractical, this shit is a scam

Metallic spray paint, to blind in both visible and non-visible spectra. Bullets for the joints.

I see you've never actually worked on robots. Every one of those humanoid robots will need its own human closeby to maintain it. I could see a conveyor and robot arm-based artillery system though

I am sure Spider Masterminds are coming at some point.

>robot murks you as soon as it comes into visual range while you fiddle with your gay little paintball gun
the real questions are batteries and economics
loss of a person gets calculated as 10 mil so economics should work out, batteries are a problem but they'll probably solve that too at some point

le humanoid robutts were supposed to be the next scam after the current AI scam implodes. The massive helium shock is gonna fuck the (((tech industry))) hard and kill all this shit though.

>Miles Bennett Dyson
A black guy coming up with all of that is the most fantastical element of Terminator 2
>>
>>537018788
that's the point. if it's not totally in line with the prerogatives of our ruling class they'll make a counter one that is
>>
>>537019222
one of the best details in terminator is how reese basically uses video game tactics against the t-800, especially in the club where he keeps running and gunning. no system is foolproof because fools are so ingenious
