My 10 year old is glued to his tablet watching his favourite American Youtubers and streamers and he will conceive of nothing else. I even have to bring his meals to him in his bedroom and collect his dirty dishes because he can barely remove himself from his room while watching his favourite streamers. He stays up late if knows one of his favourite streamers is on live. Now he has started saying "can yall fix me some grilled cheese please?" and American slang but we usually say "cheese on toast" here, so he's using American terms now such as "garbage" and "trash" instead of rubbish, etcI mean he does help around the house and do his school work etc but he usually has his tablet with him with some streamer on in the background.My wife says it's no big deal because Americans are basically just like us but with a different accent and that i should be grateful that he likes America and is not trying to copy "those bloody Muslims" or other foreign cultures that are present all around us.
