Why shouldn't Latin be the official language of the EU?Nobody speaks english in the EU, making it german would shift the balance too much in their favour, picking the less spoken languages makes no sense, picking a romance language would mean picking which flavour you want, so why not go with language of science and medicine? It was already in use until recent times.
