Why do Europeans think we don’t walk and don’t have places to walk? Sure, many more Americans live in stretched out far out flyover towns than Europeans but this is a massive country we settled with industrial technology. It makes perfect sense that people who live out in the boonies 50 miles from work generally drive around. It’s not our fault Europeans are losers who just urbanized their continent and flaneur around the cities their ancestors built. You guys think it’s some terrible condemnation that we don’t have walkable old neighborhoods in Las Vegas when in reality it’s an unbelievable accomplishment that we built civilization in the Mojave desert. We are better than you in every way and the reason you latch onto shit like le walking is because it’s all you have. We sacrificed walkability to do what none of you had the balls or vision to do. We’re literally the main characters of history because we’ve done these things and all you can really muster in response is to glue your water bottle caps to the bottles and stroll around cities you didn’t even build.
