Because MBAs sold them out just kike everywhere else. Or they advised it and jews happily followed. Whatever you believe in it always ends the same.

It's cheaper to have a chink slave produce it out of fuck knows what than it is to pay a worker minimum wage, pension and benefits here in the UK, they have to compete with the chink slave and middle-men who "invest" a factory in china to produce it then ship it here.

You could destroy the whole enterprise with tariffs on the chinks, then they'd have to pay the UK customs or alternatively try to smuggle the goods into the country for sale; but this also might backfire because we don't make many computers or tech to supply ourselves so we'd soon run out of tech completely by doing that even though it WOULD encourage someone to build and make the tech here.

They didn't. They still control all your high-tier semiconductor design industry you never even heard the names about. If you made an argument that muh 'Royal Society is not UK' I would say that's correct in semantics

I heard it was NATO standardization on MS-DOS, Unix, and Macintosh that did them in. British all had their own micros, all of which either ran BASIC or some other one-off thing like RISCos.

That happened and then the British were stuck with all this home grown tech that the government couldn't buy for defense, and if they weren't going to be using this tech in the national defense but some American stuff instead, it made little sense to teach it to the kiddos so the BBC computer literacy efforts also got kicked to the kerb.

the deciding factor was not talent. the english "amateur" is usually unmatched in expertise.
The deciding factor was systems and size;
the UK government did not have the ability to organize large scale projects with a big budget and large number of skilled people.
In Bletchly Park a small group of engineers could build Colossus, but only in America could an entire city be founded and the manpower organized develop an Atomic bomb.
the soviet union had the ability to organize, but lacked the wealth and skill to do it as effectively.

>ARM existing means the UK "controls all tech"
RISC-V is coming into use in all kinds of things ARM used to have exclusive reign over, flash controllers, microcontrollers... the open spec makes it cheaper and there is an industry body behind the extensions rather than some trannie company.

Yes ARM is tranny tech.

Israel's average IQ is only 90 (look it up) but they have done well in tech by taking every single nerd and hacker and putting them through Unit 8200 and then placing them into foreign tech firms if they are better at spying, or domestic ones in Israel if they are better at coding or design.

In the mean while in the US and the UK and right around the western world, hackers are treated worse than members of ISIS by their government. It's paid off on both ends. West imports jeets and chinks and even Russians now, and Israel's a world tech leader!

Bitcoin is a recent UK invention.
>>
>>537078199
It didn't.
The money went to China where the same job could be done for cheaper.
Capitalists are all about the money. They don't care about borders, communities or beliefs.
The only belief they have, is that money number must go up and that costs are the devil.
The UK had higher costs. That's all it was.

For what it's worth, the Raspberry Foundation is British... the manufacturing happens in Asia.

Friendly reminder that Intel moved its R&D facility to Israel right in time for the workers in that country to fuck up the response to AMD's Zen and eventually make the 12th and 13th gen Intel products so bad that the company could've been sued into bankruptcy.
I'm not fanboying, that's what happened with the ring bus getting overvolted because the Jew wanted the clock speed to beat AMD. Processors melted and broke without even being overclocked and every single chip in the 12th/13th product stacks is subject to this flaw.

Pic rel is american, produced in taiwan and china and assembled(the most useless step) in the uk. Couldn't even bother to use connectors or flash actually produced in europe. It's a complete shitshow once you look past the software support. Which is really all it is at this point.

UK tech is basically ARM.

because it's cheaper if everything is made in Asia. That's was the endpoint logic of free trade capitalism that has effectively abolished the West from the world market. Now it can only consume, not produce.

>"The UK essentially gave up on its homegrown computer hardware industry due to a combination of post-WWII economic devastation, systemic sexism that drove away its foundational technical workforce"
>Institutional Sexism and Labor Loss: During and immediately after WWII, the majority of the UK's expert computer programmers and technical workers were women. As computing became formalized and more lucrative in the 1960s, the UK government's and civil service’s policies actively marginalized and pushed these women out of the field. This resulted in an engineered labor and skills shortage that doomed the country’s high-tech ambitions.
