Is this normal in your country?
>>
It has gotten really bad in PA lately. We would maybe only lose power for a brief period once every two years? Now, it's happening multiple times a year for 2 days straight.
>>
>>537090504
Sounds worse than California.
>>
it was kinda a lot of rain though
>>
>>537090299
>Rain
Wind you idiot.
>>
>>537090299
Its worse than that some places. In memphis you can lose power for weeks at a time in the middle of summer when there wasnt a storm.
>>
>>537090747
Water is the most powerful force.
>>
There was some rain and wind from a mild hurricane in 2019 and power went down for 2 days but I think they fixed the infrastructure and power hasn't gone out since.
>>
>>537090299
the infrastructure is fucked a lot of places
especially on the east coast, you can see these rotting 100+ year old components on power lines some places
utility companies just let shit fester til they're absolutely forced to replace just what needs to be to get it working again when it fails, you'd have to threaten their children's lives to get them to spend money upgrading anything
>>
>>537090794
Funny. I think a lot of Californians have been moving to Tennessee.
>>
>>537090299
Southerner here

I hear lore of antiquity that speaks of rainfall and how our ancestors once were prepared for such oddities. What a time to have been alive
>>
>>537090907
I was kind of surprised places in Michigan did a terrible job of clearing the tree branches away from power lines when they have freezing rain and snow storms every year.
>>
>>537090299
No but I don't have AC
>>
>>537090936
How did the pump water out of their basement before lectricty?
>>
>>537090981
that would require paying for labor which impacts profitability
>>
>>537091017
Come to America we will feed you burger and take you to church.
>>
>>537091038
same way they did on a boat before electricity
>>
>>537091123
Weird looking crack pipe.

>tfw i used to love this state but the goycattle are becoming way too retarded and wexners jewish claws are in everything here. now we have miggers supporting an anchor baby shitjeet for governor

>Sounds worse than California.
No.
California shuts off power because of just wind. Not wind and rain. Wind. Just wind.
It's hot as fuck but many areas are without power because the wind is blowing and might cause wildfires. But hey, Newsom saved his buddies some cash by letting the infrastructure go to hell. Newsom for president, everyone.
>>
>>537090299
Derechos aren't any regular storm. They have near tornado wind speeds.
>>
>>537091153
an elegant weapon, for a more civilized age
>>
Haven't had a power cut in my entire life. Ed Milliband is trying his best to make it happen though
>>
>>537090299
Data centers are like cartridge games, they're mostly empty and just one tiny hardware on the inside but use Ai to look massive to trick consumers. Everybody knows that computers dont need water outside of the ai.
>>
>>537091258
most people (that arent miggers working minimum wage slave jobs) have a generator and solar panels with battery backups here and we dont actually have power outages.
>>
Had like 3 days without power here in the countryside because of bad weather. Almost every time there is lightning it goes for a couple of hours.
>>
>>537090907
This is true. I learned that instead of replacing it (which would be costly) they modernized it with smaller devices.
>>
>>537090299
Only during thunderstorms or some shitskin hydroplanes into a pole
>>
>>537090867
Lie, a tornado can pick up water and drop it on your stupid head anon.
>>
>>537090504
Hello treeland brother. Let’s not bother ourselves with these europeans who claim to have hardwood forests. The reason for the increase in outages is the foul tree diseases these dirty old worlders force upon us. Our mighty american ash forests in the land of kings are dead and rotted. This is wreaking short term havoc as they fall across our state.

maryland has these rolling blackouts every summer through the middle to lower end residential areas, nearly every day, right in the hottest parts of them

i'm in northeast ohio east of cleveland and every time, and i mean EVERY time we get a bad storm the power goes out. sometimes for a few hours, sometimes for a day, and a few a years ago it was out for an entire WEEK in my whole neighborhood and the adjacent neighborhoods.

my grandmother (RIP) was on supplemental oxygen but luckily she was in a rehab facility recovering from a heart attack
>>
>>537090927
Yes,my senpai/frens moved near chatnigger from temecula
The boys and my sis are vehemently racist, much as I miss em they'll do better for merica there than here
>>
>>537097775
>chatnigger
That's an actual town?
>>
My power goes out at least once a month and on those rare months it doesn't, the bill is noticeably cheaper. Like I'm bankrolling the outages or something. Fuck Alabama Power and power monopoly in general.
>>
>>537090867
There are flash floods all the time that don't cause outages. It's the wind breaking branches and causing them to fall on power lines.

yes but it is random sometimes it barely rained and the power goes out but i went through that hurricane and didnt even lose power
>>
>>537090299
>wisconsin
Fucking power turns out any time the wind takes a shit.
>>
>>537090299
It's usually the wind knocking trees onto power lines. Flooding has to be pretty bad to get widespread power outages from it.

>>

It's actually the friends we made along the way.
