>>537093849Skating has a very high skill ceiling that is diffiicult to overcome as a kid. Try again as an adult you will understand the physics of doing an ollie better. I am in my 30's learning to skate and learned how to ollie after not being able to figure it out as a kid. The reward is amazing. Just be careful wear protection.

Eventually something just clicks. You realize your not trying to jump, but kick and smack the board down so that it slaps against the pavement and bounces. Landing your first ollie feels so good. Feels like fast travel has been unlocked or something like that. You learned how to jump. Hidden parts on the map are now open. The world becomes like tony hawk proskater.

These aren't POC surfing in Alaska. Because we have a river every 5 minutes flooding fresh water into the pacific when you try and tread water you don't have the buoyancy of really salty water so if you're tired you just sink.
