The original guy who was leading the Russian forces in the war in Ukraine did a pretty shitty job and got fired early on. Then General Surovikin was handed the gameboard and fixed a lot of those strategic mistakes. Surovikin ordered the construction of the famous Surovikin line which stopped the Ukrainian offensive of 2023 dead in its tracks (contrary to expectations from shills at the time). He also made the unpopular but militarily prudent decision to pull out of Kherson and instead use the Dnieper river itself as a natural barrier so the Russian military could instead focus on winning the war in the east without the logistical burden of trying to defend Kherson when it was on the wrong side of the river. He also served to be the fall guy for this unpopular pull back decision so that Putin didn't have to get blamed for it.

After fixing these mistakes, he got reassigned to the Afrika Korps in Algeria and you don't hear much about him anymore. But if it wasn't for this guy the Russian forces might have been cooked back in 2023 (as many were predicting they would be). He pretty much singlehandedly turned everything on the right course after the guy before him had fucked things up.

Going back further, Putin could've gotten 0 casualties of Russian forces by not invading period

he was not supposed to be that successful.
Monke is a western agent and hates when Russians succeed instead of being mauled down in frontal assaults against the most fortified positions on the planet.
Surovikin was exiled in Africa because he could have toppled monke and his damned kosher clique sooner or later.

Russia could have reunited with Little Russia in the proverbial two weeks if it wasn't for monke.

Not true for the Russians residing in the Donbass. Ukries were killing them. This is why Russia went in.
