The worse their English was, the more rude and shitty their attitude was, like it was a technique to try to save face. Meanwhile I couldn't understand a thing they were saying. I assume this was "izzat" in action. The Filipino office by comparison would be very chill even when they couldn't speak English well.

I remember one time I had an Indian foreign professor for one of my undergraduate CS sophomore level courses. We couldn't understand what he was saying in the lecture hall, so they hooked him up to a megaphone. We still couldn't understand what he was saying except now he was making a ton of noise too. Then I went to office hours one time because I couldn't understand what the professor was saying. The graduate student the professor tasked with helping students during office hours was also a jeet. Walking down the hall to the room I could smell the BO, and then once inside the smell was so bad I turned around and left. Dropped the course shortly after that.
