Education's a certificate where someone else who presumably has already a well-established reputation, verifies that you know a subject and probably didn't cheat to get it. Of course if a university is a diploma mill and no one checks to see that it isn't, then a diploma mill degree is as valuable as a real one.With that said, even a real degree isn't some magical golden ticket these days. Companies want a degree and experience. If you're smart, you find a way to obtain job or project experience while obtaining said degree. Maybe you got an internship. Maybe you did work for the university outside of your classes. And then you have to hope that they didn't specify "post education work experience" explicitly to spite you. And also, if you go too high with your education, you may face a different type of discrimination - people who think academics are too stuck up in theory and don't understand the real world.Keep your chin up though. We're all gonna make it.
