>>537167341The moon is still relatively close to Earth, but once you get beyond that, Mars is ridiculously far away and then everything beyond that is impossible (at least for manned space travel). We've hit a technological barrier. We just don't have a way of covering those long distances. Fuel is a problem. Time is a problem. We aren't even close to being able to terraform another planet. We need to let technology develop generally for a bit more before we start trying to force the space stuff again beyond the moon.
There's nothing to see and no one to talk to.
