I can't help but admire the Soviet Union, despite its failures and flaws.

it was meh. China is a far better version of it
>>
>>537175154
Because you are retarded. I lived in it, it was shit. Communism doesn't work.
>>
You need to ground it. Make it something people can discuss. Not just "Oh yeah thats fascinating tell me more"
>>
>>537175189
That's what's so compelling. They took the worst system you could possibly conceive of and became a world superpower with it.
>>
>>537175186
>>537175189
And now compare to the contemporary.
>>

How did you end up in Bulgaria, Kirkorov?

Same, it was a necessary counterweight in the world. At least China is doing alright.

Modern technology has perhaps made it more difficult to compare the two. But regardless, if the USSR remained national and Stalinist, it would have survived. That is, if Stalin was successful in minimizing the bureaucracy and purging the anti-nationalists.
>>
>>537175214
At the cost of millions of lives. Yes, it's impressive to turn from an agrarian shithole into an industrial superpower exploring space in a generation, but here's the thing - any, ANY system can achieve that if you threw enough lives at the problem.

>>537175216
Comparisons are meaningless

>>537175227
I am Bulgarian, but I worked and lived in the USSR back in the day. Yes, I am old.
>>

What's the point of preserving Stalinist USSR if nobody was happy in that system?

Nationalism is always a dead end. America only thrives because of mass immigration of smart people who come here. Without that, America would be a very backwards, hopeless country, and a very low technology country.

yeah it was pretty great. all the commies i actually bothered with at one point are military, oil riggers, electricians, teachers, medical staff etc the old school commies have a few neets and weirdos but it doesn’t change the fact that many educated workers want it once they find out what it is. /pol/ tribalism is pretty retarded. i know better than to go against the working man.

Nationalism can be alright in modest proportions. But generally its a lowbrow thing that in itself leads nowhere.

Well, the reason people weren't happy is because he was running a wartime economy, and made a lot of sacrifices to develop faster. Most of the bad things attributed to Stalin happened because Stalin ran the USSR to withstand foreign invasion, rather than to maximize the short-term quality of life of the people. It's crude, but it was better than the alternative of a happy and peaceful country that gets completely destroyed by it's enemies.

Yeah, same here. The USSR was born in insanely brutal conditions which paradoxically made its rise possible, and it inevitably baked in a bunch of critical flaws. After the huge high from winning WWII those problems got locked in and eventually killed the system. Still, you gotta wonder: even with all those fucked-up flaws, in a pretty short time it took basically yesterday's illiterate northern negroes and put them in space first. And at some point Soviet life expectancy actually matched or briefly edged out the US in the 1960s. What the hell could a properly tuned version of that system have achieved? One where developing actual humans was the main goal, not just some occasional side effect of GDP growth that usually doesn't even show up.
I still caught the tail end of those last real Soviet people, mostly teachers, who even after getting mangled by the late Brezhnev stagnation when the USSR started turning into Sovok around the late 60s and the nightmare of the 90s still gave off this vibe of People with a capital P. The kind we just don't make anymore.
Overall I see the Soviet experience as more positive than not. If someone ever tries round two somewhere, fixing at least some of the big mistakes and using modern tech, then maybe humanity actually has a shot.

>SU was white..?
No, as Bulganon explained, it threw these guys into the woodchipper. Russia was much whiter in the past because they were somewhat racial, like everybody.
There's this comment where Brehznev appealed to Thatcher on grounds of both their civilisations being White which she found ghastly.

However, Putin isn't our friend, he's almost as zionist as Trump. He's post race like all good globalists/imperalists.

Best case (my guess): Putin is bamboozled by Chabad et al,
>"surely they know by now it is about the glory of Russia"
they don't care about jews so much because they cannot imagine them getting into control again.

Worst case: In another generation, Russia will be another outpost like US, Ukraine or Argentina.
>>
Survival Russia visited an abandoned Soviet school somewhere near the Urals. Just look the artwork. It didn't rust. Gives the feeling that they spared no expense on infrastructure.

It was literally just China without our modern technology. Every Western country fell for propaganda in the same way even before the advent of the Internet. The US legitimately thought the Soviet Union had won, and overtook their economy. Then they sorta just, collapsed under all the lies and propaganda. People like to meme that economy and money isn't real, but when it's TRULY not real, it does indeed fall apart fast.

Admire what? The anti-nationalism? The pathetic copium that the west is collapsing in about two more years which no one actually believed? The personality cult of scum like Lenin and Marx with their portraits plastered all over the place like religious saints? The negative ROI dictatorship that got you all of the negatives of authoritarianism with very few of the positives?

The more you think about it the more you'll realize that its historical purpose was to act as the battering ram against Edo- I mean Europe, and upon its completion to politically retire so that it cannot possibly pose the same ethnonationalist threat under a nazbol tangent. It retired, the false ideal was abandoned, jews from Israel and America came and became the new ruling oligarchic class, and with that the historical purpose of this pile of shit was completed. Why would any sane man idolize such brutal humiliation ritual that very deliberately advanced the Asian race into European lands and then turned everything into a concrete jungle with mud and rust splattered all over it to break your spirit maximally.

From a purely great power perspective, the USSR's rise is basically without precident in modern history. It went from an illierate, poor, dysfunctional state riven by famine and civil war to an industrial superpower capable of competing with the United States within two generations and sent the first man into space. The scientific achievements of the Soviet Union from where they started are basically without equal. Stalin was the greatest empire builder of the 20th century.

nonsense. She was a jewess and birthed a jew.
He acted like a typical megalomanical, genocidal jew.
One-quarter jews in the Reich were not automatically okayed. In the case of Lenin, a clear superjew, no papers would get stamped.

In the end, race has the last word.
>>
>>537175154
It seemed (from a burgermutt view) to be very bureaucratic and harsh era
>>
The reason why communism doesn't work is because it's rooted to this philosophy stuff that was brewing in Eastern Europe back in the early 20th century. It's not rooted to science, logic, reason....etc.
Collectivist solutions CAN work pretty well if they're done under the aegis of rational thinking, rather than ideological thinking. China is proving this pretty well. Sure China has the classic communist problem of wasting boatloads of resources on a whim. But they study things, they act in accordance with data. They don't have a lot of the problems the west has, like mass immigration, corporate oligarchy, debt...etc.
>>

Europe is just ruled by fucking lunatics. They have a left wing perspective. I think the problem in Europe is communism actually, in the sense that all the leading figures are imbued with this left wing ideology that stems out of the communist sphere, and supercharged by WW2.

But from an American perspective, the main problem with America is the lack of an aristocracy. It's something we really need, because without that corporations occupy this role. The Chinese system is really dictatorial and inflexible, but at least the communist bureaucrats function sort of like aristocrats, and so the role can be fulfilled.
>>
>>537177701
>she wasn't jewish,
I believe she was. Of course the lie.

>nuremberg laws says 1/4 jewish is fit
no, it depends.
If Lenin grew up in Germany, did his Pimpfenprüfung, HJ etc pp, then yes, I'm sure he'd get his stamp. He'd have been a fantatical Nazi apparatschik aspiring to become a Gauleiter.
But that's not the case, was it?
