Then we came out of covid and interest rates spiked and the funding dried up, and then almost overnight a hub of potentially disruptive technologies just disappeared. I'm not saying that policy would have stopped them shutting down while got used to a drastically different funding environment, but I do think that it would have helped. Instead, the Tories just let a bunch of companies fold. Labour are worse btw.
