Is this actually true? What kind of recession indicators are you all seeing out there?

Most businesses are pivoting to cater to the top 10% of earners right now, but even they have a limit.

My typical $40-50 grocery run is now $80.

Ive also noticed an increase in the soon to be off beef, from sitting on the shelf too long.

This anon econs. Its all a lie. Nobody has time or money for shit anymore and everyone is stretched thin mentally. The middle class is cooked.

this 1000%. Although I hate they removed the stuffed crust deep dish, that was my favorite slop of all time. I read something that the young generation likes Domino's, probably because it has the flashiest app or something who knows with those SSRI fried freaks
>>
>>537193186
Half loaves of bread appearing was my personal indicator.
>>
>>537193186
Domino’s is the worst possible example. They have the worst reputation and lowest customer satisfaction in the fast food industry. In that regard they are more comparable to Comcat or UHC. They’ve been bankrupt, restructured, and bought out numerous times since the 80s. Their entire history has operated on gimmick marketing, overexpanding and operating at a loss while attempting to undercut local competition and establish local monopolies
>>
>>537193379
Yeah let’s further destabilize markets with no backup plan in place

So according to Literally Who? on Twitter, me not wanting to eat shitty fast-food means the economy is collapsing?
Could there be any other explanation as to why nobody is buying that shit, like the only reason anybody ever bought that shit is that they always delivered and now you can get edible food delivered by uber Jeets instead of their greasy slop?

places may still be full of the top 20% of spenders. that's what a K-shaped economy means. it's the haves spending while the have-nots are fading out
>>
>>537194418
>isolating actual problems
Evil parties that do not represent their constituencies would fit that description.
Solution: Rapid removal of the parties and their members, creating a power vacuum for new parties and politicians to take their place, kept in check by the fact that their predecessors are rotting in prison for their many political crimes and the promise that it'll happen to them too.
Also if you don't think term limits, age limits and an IQ test for public office will help then I don't think you have any solutions of your own.

>>537193186
Why would I buy domino's when I can go to Aldi and get flat bread + sauce + cheese and whatever toppings I want there to put on it? Not only does my pizza taste better, but I turn it into family time with my kids, teaching them how to prepare a wide array of foods using kitchen appliances. Not being a parent why half of zoomzooms cant cook and dont know how to use a knife properly. I refuse to allow my children to be socially inept retards.

Empty restaurants. I'm at the beach in Thailand. Everything is empty. How can people stay in business when they have no business? They convinced each other that setting a high price would maximize their profit. Fried fish for 450 baht. How many fish are they selling at that price? Very few.

We eat either domino or little ceasars cheapest pizzas around 3 times a week. Only costs about $9 on average for the pizza and a 2 liter pop. And the pizzas big enough to make 2 meals out of. $7 for a take-away pizza is way too expensive.
Large ones start at €4 around here.
Why you'd ever buy a pizza from an American chain restaurant, is something I'll never understand, though.
Say, Pizza Hut's all-you-can-eat ice buffet is amazing, but their pizzas don't even deserve to be called like that.

yeah I know what K shaped economy means. Still seems off, by definition that should be a minority of people yet it is still crowded everywhere all the time. Age and term limits have the problem of kicking out good politicians from the system over things they have no control over. Meanwhile a wealth limit would let a good politician stay in and if they gain too much wealth they can donate it

All time high retirement cash outs, all time high credit card debt, all time high auto repossessions, all time high debt defaults in general, all time high credit utilization, all time low retirement contributions, the list just goes on and on.

Objectively, the data shows this is the worst economy for workers ever next to the Great Depression. It’s just concealed by credit activity. It’s easy to get a credit card and buy things but paying it off within 3 years is a different matter. The fact that the former exists conceals the extent of the latter.

if it is a new or penniless business the bank makes you pledge personal collateral like your house. Grifters will try and tell you to just start a business and loans flow like water but that isn't how it works, the bank always gets theirs. Which is amazing since they don't actually have the money they loan you, they conjure it into existence when you sign the loan papers. It's heads they win (your business is a success they make interest and other fees off you), tails you lose (default on loan, they have a lien on your house now). Nice work if you can get it.

If you support the middle class you'd support the mass remigration of tens of millions of foreigners. The economics of immigration is literally the easiest thing to understand. Every single immigrant makes the jobs pay less and the houses cost more. The only people immigration benefits are fractional reserve billionaires. That's why neither the GOP nor DNC will do it, because they are both traitors. If the Left wants socialism, they need Nationalism, if the right wants traditionalism, they need Nationalism. Inflation over the last 5 years made people much more aware of what they were paying for the things they buy. When they looked at what they were spending and what they got in return for that spending, they were pretty disgusted. Like why would they be paying $7 plus an expectation of a tip for what amounts to a frozen pizza they could just bake and eat at home for half the price? Especially when it's no more convenient to go pick up a pizza than it is to just buy one when you shop and then bake it when you want it. In essence, people are "noticing" how much their wallets are being raped for marginally-more convenience when buying things like takeout pizza.

It costs me $7 to make a pizza from scratch.
Pepperoni $3
Cheese $3
Rest is negligible because I bought sauce for $8/gallon can and yeast in 1lb packages that will last a year. It's actually been hard to get unsliced pepperoni; it's not there more than half the time for the last 5 years. Precut stuff is shit.

Employment isn't negative, that hardly makes sense. You can go to bureau of labour statistics and get the numbers yourself. It will be sub 60% regardless of what country you are in or how much they pretend there are job openings and they need immigrants.
When Canada imported 8 million indians into a 35 million population because the local population was protesting the government; employment was 40%.

No, it's completely different, you fucking moron. A pension is paid out at a given rate as part of an employment contract after a given # of service years. A 401k is entirely dependent on the employee investing themselves with occasional employer match (if they're lucky). It's subject to market fluctuations in a way that pensions aren't. Social security is a state-funded benefit system that everyone knows is not going to apply to younger generations because faggot boomers are hell bent on using up the earth like locusts. Saying that all forms of retirement are the "same thing really" is something only a retarded faggot with no experience would spout. In sum, you should kill yourself.

I have been preparing for an economic collapse since 2012. I never got over 08 as a young man in my 20s. Saw everyone lose their job and walk away from their house. I was a security guard and a coworker left his keys for his home in the mailbox. I think we made 12 an hour. Lol. Ninja loans helluva drug.

Anyway I'm tired boss. I got laid off in February and cashed out my 401k. I burned through a good chunk already laying down credit cards and some small loans. Between the gold coins and what's left there's a 100k or so. But I owe 250 on the mortgage with about 250 in equity. Vehicles are paid for. Just have a small tractor payment.

I moved us to acreage in 2020 figuring surely this was it. Nope. It just keeps slowly grinding you down leaving you poorer and with fewer options each year

I have been applying to help desk/bank IT jobs like I used to do, but waste of time mostly. Thinking of starting a landscaping business.

Freeze your bread. It keeps amazingly well that way and defrosts nicely. Or toast it if it's a few days old, that also preserves it for an extra few days. Or toast it then grind it into bread crumbs. Or toast it to make croutons. These are all time honored ways to not waste bread, which people once did for hard times which are here again.

It's not just the money, it's the actual quality of the food. In an Era where we're seeing things like cancer rates rise like crazy, especially colon cancer, people are obviously going to be paying more attention to food and just how incredibly LOW QUALITY a lot of these ingredients are.

I started watching what I buy around 2020. Around 90% of pre-packaged foods from the grocery store became off limits (mostly due to see oils, food colorings, and certain emulsifiers).

in the 00's, 10's, and even up to 2015 I would buy fast food every few days and often whatever slop was closest because it was like $6 for a whole meal.

these days I buy fast food maybe once every two weeks, and when I do it's only "luxury" fast food like Chick Fil A or local burger places because they're the same price as all the slop McDonalds/Taco Bell put out. More often than not instead of fast food I just have ramen or frozen dinners. When you're paying $12-18 for a burger and fries it's just no longer worth it compared to a $3-4 frozen dinner. it's not even that I lack money, it just feels like a ripoff and these companies are out of their minds if they think $12 for a Big Mac meal is normal.

The upper class stagnated wages for so long that they killed the working class consumer. They fought unions, then they opened up more trade, then they exported jobs, then they started importing cheap unskilled labor, then they started importing cheap skilled labor, then they automated jobs, then they inrtroduced robots, and now they've introduced AI.

Three decades of constant innovation directed at nothing other than driving wages down so companies could save money and now no one has money to buy the companies products and no one has the money to raise families. Its a crisis entirely of the upper classes own creation. Higher wages and more money in the hands of the working class is the solution to virtually every problem western society has.

My wage cage is a discount grocery store. I've been there for around 3 years or so. There has always been a rush of buying the first two weeks of the month due to EBT, SSI payments and payday checks all hitting at the same time. Then a stall the last two weeks as people need money for rent coming up etc etc.
The difference now is the last week of the month is just dead. Like you can walk down the pet area and it looks nearly untouched every day. Same for how next to nobody buys dish soap, laundry detergent, paper towels etc. If it's not a survival level item like food, it's on pause. Yet even food sales stall real hard too
It wasn't like this a few years ago. Also when I shop after work I also don't see many people doing the casual half-cart runs much anymore. A whole lot of people are buy just enough for a few days..
