North Africa used to be a thoroughly Roman and Christian part of the Mediterranean. Roman Carthago was one of the most prestigious roman cities, and Africans (not nigs, actual Africans from Africa Proconsularis) were some of the proudest romans in the whole Empire.Then pisslam came and destroyed the southernmost child of Rome and almost achieved the same with Hispania. Even the romanized berbers put up fierce resistance but in the end they fell to the araboislamohomo.Then after the conquest arabs decided to bring millions of nigs to North Africa during the slave trade, permanently blackening the (formerly white) North Africans. (If you don't believe me, look up ancient depictions of north africans, egyptians depicted them as white and even romans depicted them as Mediterranean white. Not to mention Subsaharan ancestry in the Maghreb dates to around the 13th century or later, Roman Berbers were much closer to Europeans)And now arabs want to cry foul and victimize themselves all the time.

The first time I played Total War: Atilla I chose the Vandals and recreated this. The problem was I razed every single city on my way there from Germany and pre-patch that caused the factions that emerged on those territories to despise you, so halfway through settling Carthage 30 turns later like 5 full stacks of Gallo-Romans just Leroy Jenkinsed across the Mediterranean and merked the shit out of me
