I just ordered a little 5€ battery last month. It would cost literally 74% more (3.7€) today. The European parlament didn't even get a vote on this matter, the sons of bitches of finnace "ministers" just gathered and unilaterally decided to implement this. There's only 1 loophole that looks too obvious. Items of the same category in the same shipment are only taxes once. So of course the most popular items will be shipped in mass by AliExpress sellers with wearhouses already established in the continent and the 3 euros get diluted by many pcs. But there's a gazillion of other little things that aren't like that. What really pisses me off is that there was no vote. These filthy subhumans cost the European taxpayers billions of euros with their paid housing in Bruxelles, paid helpers, pid food... Paid everything. They only eat in the best restaurants. They don't drive expensive cars, they get driven in them by chofeurs. They spent a gazillion euros with rapefugees. They allowed China to take over the European electric car industry and the solar panel industry but now it's taxing the little cheap things that would come to europe anyway that will save Europe. This is basically saying "there must be a middleman who imports in bulk" I wish them all a slow and painful death
