>>537297758Its not complicated: Israel is used to having the political influence to push the US around on a lot of stuff and took that for granted, but the Strait of Hormuz forced the board state into a position where Trump had to choose between his own interests (and America's, but mostly his own) and keeping Israel happy. He delayed the decision for as long as he could in a vain hope that another option would present itself, but it didn't. So he was forced to protect himself and any political retaliation that Israel organizes now is just something he'll have to deal with as it comes up. I do think that the odds of Trump getting removed from office how are much, much higher. Everyone on the Aipac payroll in congress is probably getting phone calls, and you can bet that people are going to be much more likely to cross the aisle and vote with the democrats now once the groundwork has been laid to vote him out. They can't do it too soon or it will be to obvious that Israel called for it, but I think its coming down the pipeline now.
