It is probably just a load of rich wealthy people coming up with some of the weirdest things they can door to normal people. While the occasional person is a good person, most of the shit they come up with horrendous violations of personal privacy and physical health. And they generally see it as ok as it won't happen to them, and they long stopped caring about the rights and feelings of poor people.
