>>537366208I remember last year riding my bike down lakeshore trail and seeing it jutting out of the ground like a random monolith seemingly out of nowhere. I thought it was a giant rock climbing wall at a park or something. Once I got closer, I googled it, and realized what it was. I recall thinking it was the ugliest building i had ever seen. Never before had I felt such apprehension toward a building like I had with this one. I typically either like a building’s architecture or I’m indifferent. It cannot be overstated just how out of place it is. Surrounding it are low level, low income housing, the gorgeous museum, with the beautiful grounds and Japanese garden. All of which are less than a couple stories high. It is like 15 stories tall, towering over everything else, with a domineering presence. I don’t know what they were thinking building this, there. The plan was for Hillary to carry the torch for the next 8 years followed by kamala or any other woman i guess. All American cities would have had, in that time, designs for buildings like these to go up. This architecture was the planned design going forward in this country. Literal soviet era tier buildings to demoralize even further
