Wtf moment, no wonder colonialism happened. People just gotta move out of their home countries if they get that weird.
>>
>>537376907
Oh joy another unelected leader with no mandate to lead the country. Labour are already toast at the next election. Starmer should just say no for the next 3 years to spite all those stabbing him in the back. He's got nothing to lose. The country already wants him to die. Burnham will be just as bad.
>>
>>537377383
>Starmer should just say no
To what? There has to be a leadership election if enough Labour MPs trigger the ballot (which they will because they're as sick of him as the rest of the country). If he loses, he ceases to be leader of the Labour party and therefore PM. He can't just refuse to go, although the thought of coppers dragging him from Downing Street is very funny.
>>
>>537377853
You are correct but I don't think coppers would get involved, as it's not against the law to say no it's just against party governance. Not sure what would happen actually.

The leader of the largest party has the mandate to govern. If Burnham wins the Labour leadership, Charlie would invite him to form a government and at that point if Starmer refused to step down he'd basically be committing treason. Labour could hold a vote to kick him out of the party (like with Corbyn and others) so he wouldn't even be a Labour MP any more and would be a solo independent attempting to remain PM with zero MPs. There's no realistic way he holds on.
>>
>>537377383
>Labour are toast at the next election
You overestimate voters. Most of them are evidently fucking idiots
>>
>>537376907
He looks like another Keir-tier faggot, the perfect punchable face for White Britins to rally against and then guillotine in the public square.
Best of luck, gentlemen!
>>
>>537376907
Starmer and Burnham are both Neoliberal Zionists. Austerity and Israel worship will continue under Burnham.

*Britons
Sorry, a pajeet coded my autocorrect (you should have never taught them to speak English).

People still believe in democracy?
>>
>>537376907
What was his vote share? 54%? Nearly half don't want him to lead them locally, never mind nationally and he thinks that's okay?
>>
Anyway, I've seem a lot of cope on the right. "It was a safe seat anyway", "it won't make any difference" but the fact is, Reform got their shit kicked in and Restore only barely kept their deposit. It's a pretty shocking result for Reform to be completely honest, given the seat they were contesting is basically their core demographic - aging, white working class. If Reform can't win there, there isn't really anywhere else they can reliably win.

Athenian democracy is an ideal worth contemplating. How to put it into practice is the question needing an answer. What malthusian bobbleheads call "Our Democracy™" is a bastardized mutation.

What did Kek mean by this?
>>
>>537376944
Nothing. He's the same cardboard cutout as Keir but a quick refresh of leaders will keep the plebs quiet for another six months.
>>
>>537378769
Anon, most MPs are elected with like 35-45% of the vote, that's how FPTP works. Farage won his seat with 46%, Starmer with 49%. 55% is a resounding victory.
>>
>>537378523
I was thinking more if the current leader somehow stops the leadership contest to begin with, so it would stay as an internal party matter. But agree it would never happen.
>>
>>537378669
There's a fox on his left.
>>
>>537378777
>core demographic
do you think having a commonwealth flag means your opinion is automatically correct?
they're fucking northerners and that seat has been labour since its inception
reducing it to white is fucking moronic, did you miss the part where the whitest places tend to also vote for lefties since they haven't been snapped back into reality?
>>
>>537377258
>the most popular Labour politician
>one of Labour's safest seats
>extremely high chance he'll quickly replace the hated Starmer as PM
>up against an absolute dunce of a Reform candidate with far too much baggage and ran a terrible campaign
>right-wing vote further split by another new ziononce grifter party
It didn't need rigging. He won't deliver anything good, of course, but he got the hopium vote.
