They hit Israel just like they intended, and destroyed US bases in middle east because US was using them for air detection and doing strikes against Iran. It also was able to put the arab states, US and Europe to their knees by stopping their oil imports. Even that wasnt about defeating anyone. They made it clear that nothing goes through without them approving it first. They thus elevated their status above US, Israel, Europe and the Arab states. They couldnt stop Iran any other way then to give them favourble deal. So any other way you look at it. It was Irans win and rest of the world were at irans mercy. Now in truth Iran didnt hit Israel enough, as it still keeps fighting in lebanon. That was a lost oppertunity.
