This is why you sometimes just gotta fall in line
Gadaffi wasn't too great of a leader, either, desu.
But should've just fallen in line so they had a pot to piss in before they started going against the "Great Satan' for their morals

Libya should be one of the richest countries in the world, if not the richest per capita.
>>
>>537439694
He should have copied the gulf model economy with nigger slaves instead of Indians
>>
>>537439787
libya would be a country of just 4-5 million citizens. massive natural gas and oil production. right next to europe. beautiful climate and roman/phonecian/greek/colonial ruins for tourism/cruises/resorts.
>>
>>537439840
also iron ore (for steel production), industrial materials, and potentially gold and uranium. also potential for massive solar farms and wind farms for export to neighboring countries. large coastline for fishing, shipping industries. extort money from europe to secure the sahara from african migrants. so many ways to make money. also a pretty educated populace

What do you think of Gaddafi Libya lover
>>
>>537440475
Deeply flaw He was way too focused on external issues than the wellbeing of his own people. If I was in Gadaffi's position, I would've followed an approach much more similar to what the Emiratis and Saudis did.

Thank you for knowing fucking ball

Sick of gaddafi dick suckers. Why this fucking retard from a family of goat herders decided that funding the IRA and the Japanese red army was worth ruining our international standing was worth it is beyond me.

He was also a snob and genuinely believed that Libyans were dumbasses and he alone knew what was best for not just us, but all of Africa and the world even

Fucking retard through and through. There is no defending him

People go out of thier way to say he gave us free Healthcare and free education, like that's the bare minimum and even that sucked, the education could have been leagues better, and the Healthcare was never satisfactory anyway prompting Libyans who needed critical Healthcare to go to Tunis or Egypt if they were poor, or to Europe if they were richer.

We could have been so so so much more

Well they were definitely better under Gaddafi than they are now

First time I've seen a Libyan on /pol/. Great to see.

Gadaffi played the incompetent dictator stereotype to the fullest.
Funding random bullshit all over the world instead of actually investing in his country. Delusions of grandeur.

>People go out of thier way to say he gave us free Healthcare and free education, like that's the bare minimum and even that sucked
Yeah a lot of the things you hear about Libya's free stuff under Gadaffi is not fully true. A lot more should've been funded in infrastructure. To this day, Libya doesn't have a proper highwa connecting east and west.

>We could have been so so so much more
This is what has fascinated me the most about Libya. It's such a massive and beautiful country and no one even talks about how much it could've been anymore.
>>
>>537441422
By the way, how is Libya's condition today? Do you see any hope in the country? Is it developing. Very curious since the world seems to have just completely forgotten about it. Can barely even find good videos of people visiting it on Youtube.
>>
>>537441661
I mean.... perhaps? But it just exited like a decade long civil war so... not a hard standard to beat.
With that being said, Gadaffi in no way pushed Libya to its full potential.
>>
what do you want me to say amerinigger, you and your lackeys caused it
what a retarded thread
>>
>>537441847
>what do you want me to say amerinigger

This is a fair point. Not much a person from FYROM can do or say about it.

But it's still pretty relevant today in looking at Gulf countries and asking why they don't just kick out the Americans.

>sandnigger shithole
>potential
no
>>
>>537442100
i'm sure you said that about the uae too
>>
Gaddafi was FAR from perfect but Lybia under him was..... fine?
it's undeniable that it's a disaster now, even Iraq is """ok""" after 23 years of wars and insurgencies, Lybia political status is still stuck in 2012 and much worse than Iraq
>>
>>537442006
With what army? The one that the US funds and arms?
>>
>>537442211
It was fine... but completely politically isolated. Also very corrupt.
When the soviets fell, he knew he was fucked. That's why he opened to the West around then.

I won't even excuse the Americans/West. Gadaffi did a lot of stupid shit. But America was also needlessly agressive. For example I agree with Gaddaffi regarding the Gulf of Sidra incident. Gulf of Sidra is rightfully Libyan. And yet America thought it was alright to send their planes around there, deep into Libya, for "Freedom of navigation"
>>
>>537442197
you are so brown lmao
it is a shithole, and now it is a bombed shithole. 80% jeet 19% other business criminal 1% OG goatfucker ""emirati"""
>>
>>537443215
