there are only three known instances of meteor knocking out a man or woman (it hit their heads)

billions of other people never experienced this

while there is lot of folklore of meteors for last 5000 years there are no definite confirmation of such a thing happening except in modern times

on the other hand, there are lot of 1000-2000 year old meteors found from Earth so there is a chance they hit somebody in the process of falling down

rumor: Milano Monk died in 1600 due to meter knocking his head (not confirmed, only his death is real, who is to say that another monk did not make a rock fall on his head?)

Italian monasteries during that time were famous of 100 meter tall "bell towers"

other monks saw from a distance that a rock fall on this monks head but nobody bothered to look up to the tower if that was the place it fell upon him from, instead of falling from the sky directly
