I put about 1k euro into solar panel (cheap during winter sales) and while it's not insane savings I can blast my AC in 3-4 rooms at the same time and keep the whole house at 23cOverall since March it was around 2 euros of electricity saved per day, a bit more now. Our electricity isn't ultra expensive but for germans I think it would be totally worth it

Its not the same because it makes a ton of condensation that you have to deal with that doesn't just drip off the window unit outside. You also have to consider that it works by condensing air to create temperature gradients and that its not pulling air from outside but rather from right where its dumping the cold air, making it VERY inefficient, which you will definitely see the difference in your electric bill compared to a regular windows unit.
