what did we learn from this war?

Never help Israel
>>
How about have educated rounded responsible people in charge of your country? The US is led by clout-chasing narcissistic dummies and Iran by people who take 1000 year old fanfic so seriously they'd impoverish their whole country for its sake for decades. Most of the world looks on agape how have these major countries been taken over by fanaticist idiots?
>>
Rob a bank and rob the world.

Can't really put the toothpaste back in the tube now. I don't know who's going to stand up to Israel's orbital doomsday weapons.

Lets see
>Air defenses are a meme
>Cheap mass produced weapons are better than expensive wunderwaffe
>stealth is a meme
>aircraft carriers are expensive vulnerable memes
>killing heads of state doesn't automatically win a war
>Bombing campaigns don't do shit
>literal art hoes and their simps can't overthrow a govt protected by heavily armed religious fanatics
>Geography is the most potent weapon
>Economics win war
>underground defences and bases are OP
Nothing new or groundbreaking

In no particular order:

> The US military is not an unbeatable force. Our gear is impressive, but too expensive to actually use at scale. We have overly optimized ourselves for punching down and blowing up isolated targets like tactical strikes and terrorists but are very much unprepared for fighting a conflict that takes longer than a weekend

> The US is no longer the hegemon it once was. Unlike the War on Terror, the rest of the world did not rally around us. Our diplomatic failures of the past decade have left us isolated and without many close friends

> Drones are the future of war, its here, everyone has them and they are cheaper than missiles. Until someone comes up with an answer to cheap drone swarms, the only defense that works is distance from your enemy. Anything that gets within drone range has to be assumed to be in danger of getting blown up, and sending men or tanks or ships into that is suicidal.

> Iran can close the Strait of Hormuz at any time and realistically we can't stop them because see above. The resulting oil shock has dragged into the spotlight how unstable and oil-dependent the global economy is, and since Iran can do this at any time the only sane and safe option is for countries around the world to reduce their reliance on Oil in every way possible, with whatever alternatives are available. To do otherwise is to leave ourselves chained to Iran's demands.

> Israel has gotten too big for its britches, and dragged the US into a war where we have no path to victory but they won't let us leave. The relationship between the US and Israel is out in the open now, is being stretched to its limit, and Israel is desperate to sink its claws into the US as deeply as it can in this moment because they feel their grip slipping. The US is currently in a situation where the most direct path to getting everything we want is to hang Israel out to dry.

I think that about sums it up.

I knew U.S. media was biased but I thought a few kernels of truth would get through here and there. Once all the boomers have passed away I fear the only option the government will have is to censor the internet so people no longer have wide access to information and fully buy into the state media regimes propaganda. This seems like it's going to become inevitable otherwise televised news will become completely obsolete as it is clearly biased fiction to the informed.

Even the "based" networks like One America News are just White House propaganda outlets now.

>a sitting duck vessel that costs hundreds of millions to produce can destroy hundreds of flying lawnmowers
lol? even pretending it could take out hundreds of drones attacking it at once, what does that even accomplish? you'd be better off using the money to make more drones than the other guy instead
>>
>>537604360
>cheap mass producable drones are hard to counter
We learned this in Ukraine, but such lessons were ignored.
>mountain fortresses are a bitch
This has always been the case forever, but up until now only a great power with huge missile capabilities could make the most out of them. Now with cheaper ordnance they become extremely difficult to deal with.
>AA is over blowen, and under produced
America hasn't really had to have it's AA tested hard in decades. So people just kinda assumed it was good, due to the price tag. It is better than the eastern blocs, but not perfect, nor can it be produced quick enough for a proper war.
>energy vulnerability is a problem
This is a huge problem, the world is used to cheap ME oil and lng. So now it knows it's a few flying lawnmowers away from getting none of it. Most don't know this now, but there isn't enough silver or uranium to switch off of oil and gas, so we're going to have to play nicer with Iran.
>israel is retarded
They just keep wanting to open more fronts thinking they have some sortbof duvine shield guarding them (The US). But they'll learn we aren't all good goy.

We learned that whitoids are OVER

When Trump says jump you ask "How high?" regardless of being Israeli or Iranian.

Also it's not particularly clever to talk and moan about sovereignty being disrespected when you have made a "party" (invasion force; Hezbollah) in another country so important you can scarcely part with it despite all prior agreements.
