I'm struggling with the idea myself. I'm having to put down a dog in a couple of days. I can't help but see being born as simply being condemned to death. It's painful having to say goodbye and it's scary when it's your turn (usually). Then again I'm old now. Maybe I've simply aged past the "have sex and don't think about the consequences" which seems built into the ordeal via hormones and lesser brain maturation.
