Alcohol is different because its been a part of basically all civilized societies for 1000s of years. It can also be enjoyed in moderation by non users safely with zero problems. Like a guy who doesnt drink at all can drink 1 beer with his friends somewhere and be of completely sane mind and go on with his day. Guys can also drink not to get drunk like 1 beer or something. Thing with weed is people who are mentally off can take 1 puff and be fucked for hours being nuisance to everyone around them. Also the fact you smoke to get high. Its not like alcohol at all where you drink 1 beer to taste and dont get drunk. Even taking 1 puff from a non experienced user would get them high. And smoking to taste doesn't exist. I think both should be legal but you have to admit they're different substances with different effects
