All billionaires are exploiting some type of "hack" in the system. They aren't actually making money the free market way.In Elon's case, he gets privileged access to the groundfloor of young startups, normal investors don't get that access. Then he becomes a liason between the startup, the government, and the billionaire class, to usher the startup into the 'next big technology". On the one hand, that's good because at least we're getting some technologies. But on the other hand, it's bad, because an autistic ketamine addict gets to select which technologies will define the future. One way or another the $1 trillion does not come from some sort of honest free-market competition or something.
