a "civilization" is not a thing in itself, it is a mere constituency. that is true in China, in the West, and everywhere else. we go back the same amount of time, more or less (they say Africans are the oldest, actually), so our roots are equally deep, genetically speaking.

it's also worth saying that different peoples organize themselves in different ways. Levi's portion was spiritual, not geographical, for example. that tendency applies to Europeans/Americans generally, we are a spiritual people, fundamentally, our roots are in the heavens not the ground.
