It's literally 44-45°C with 40-60% humidty.
That's not like in your desert that has 5% RH.

these are the last few years that the "climate crisis" will be on anybody's list of concerns before it drops off the bottom forever
hopefully in due time we'll get access to the records of the 77th brigade and similar groups, and a lot of people will go before the firing squad or whatever locals think is appropriate

AC is not worth it here, you'd use it for 2 weeks per year. It's rarely warmer than 25C

30% in Amsterdam but it'll go up quick towards the end of the day.

Too late. My roof is metal and painted chocolate brown, my parapet is has mahogany colored tiles, the windows are painted with brown oil paint, and my heat shield roller broke apart into pieces. So I have nothing stopping the house from cooking upstairs.

Oh and I also failed my nofap streak after 20 days so I feel like extra shit now with a massive headache and drowsiness to stack with this incoming heat.

I regret everything over the last 48 hours. I want to go out cycling but there's literally zero groundwater in the forest. Even the bug explosion hasn't happened yet.
>>

People are allergic to drilling through half a meter thick concrete walls. That's why fiber adoption is so slow. Usually it's better to just go downstairs, though our basements are not habitable like in the USA.

Fortunately my urban area is a little less dense than the main city.
Unfortunately that doesn't make a difference because the construction is "extremely energy efficient".
Retains heat like a thermos.
That's brilliant for the winter, fantastic, never turned a heater on here.
But in the summer it's hell. They didn't think that you want to dump heat in the summer.
Windows open sure, but we're in a heat dome, there's no wind moving the air around. Convection isn't powerful enough.
I got the heat down from 29°C to 28°C having the windows open all night.

My gripe isn't with the heat.
Dutch architecture is cancer.

>>537782762
You've maintained that for some time, yet every single day I use zoom earth it's bang on accurate.
Their forecasts with this heat dome have been very volatile but looking at the wind maps that's reasonable, the wind's not sure how hard to rape the heat dome or exactly where it'll do it.
The low pressure zone over SW France right now wasn't forecast until yesterday. I'm glad to see it's there.
Maybe it'll draw some of that gay air down SW away from us.
Looking at the forecast for tomorrow, the fabled 37°C was going to be there all noon, and now there's a clear cooling shift coming in from the west. It'll be 37 for maybe an hour.
These are things the humidex doesn't show easily.

People in Europe are too poor on average to pay for the energy it costs to run it. What I don't get is why even France has expensive energy despite having a shitton of nuclear plants. Nuclear was supposed to be this almost limitless source of power, but it doesn't seem to be any better than coal or solar in terms of producing energy abundance.

This is only the case because it's abnormally cold in the sahara
We get these temperatures all throughout the summer, though granted Spain in general (save for the north, coasts and river cities) is not nearly as humid as central Europe so the heat is more bearable with just a fan or an open window
I remember it hitting almost 50 a few years ago and the air outside felt like opening the oven door
