I know nobody asked but as soon as the larger earthquake hit, the entire building I was in felt like it was already on its way down, which wasn't helped by all the loud crashing sounds and falling tiles. I felt like I was leaning forwards involuntarily and my hand gave up on trying to insert the key on the keyhole, I got distracted by realizing those might've been my very last seconds alive while my mom cried and prayed besides me. I really thought that was it. I wasn't really scared at that point, I just thought it was sad to end it all like that, and that it would've been all for nothing, I had never felt that empty before.I truly hope none of you have to ever go through that.
