Imagine going to buy some milk or what ever and finding that your transaction fee has just jumped to 100 bucks which it did in 2024. Even at relatively modest fees it has right now it's still measured in in the 20-30 cent range to do anything with the thing and the price can jump by 100% in a matter of hours. No vendor is going to accept that kind of thing as "currency" in any serious manner. Or having to wait 10 minutes for your payment to clear (if you bid high with your transaction fee), that's really going to put a dent on the grocery store lines.
