Thank GOD I'm an AMERICAN and have AC.

Imagine coming home from a hard day at work and its 90 degrees inside your house because you don't have AC.

That's all we can do in America is IMAGINE it because we actually do have AC and when we come home its 70 degrees inside.

Just another reason why AMERICA IS THE GREATEST COUNTRY ON EARTH. SORRY EUROFAGS LOL!

tip for anons: lock that fusebox. inside there is a 240V fuse for your entire system. someone yanks it and your entire system goes down until that piece is replaced. they could also double prank you with their own lock

my beef with the Europeans is that they were quite snotty about Americans and air conditioning and claimed that they were saving the environment by not having these things.
Then they complain it's hot as if we've not experience the same temperatures. It hit 114 F back in 2024, and it almost killed my cat Fluffy. And yes, she is quite fluffy. All I had was a swamp cooler.
My emergency procedure is now to get fluffy and head up the mountain in my air conditioned big ass American pick up truck.

it's a breaker, not a fuse, you retarded faggot. also, you can just find one at a local electric supply, even home depot half the time. if you're worried about it, just order a spare replacement.
>t.electrician
>>
>>537810756
also, no, dont lock your main breaker panel. if there's a fire that's electrical related the firemen turn off that breaker as a safety before coming in to save you. if they cant they chop the feeder wires and you have to replace that as well when the dust settles.

I’ll one up yoy, Anon.

I’m in the Deep South. Not only do I have central A/C (it’s ubiquitous here; even poor people have it), I have a whole-house generator that can run it. If there’s a hurricane, a tornado, an ice storm, or a power outage from just a really rough storm, it cuts on automatically and powers my entire house. It runs in municipal natural gas.

This confuses and enrages Europeans.

It's the middle of summer and I'm sitting inside comfy as hell wearing sweats and a cozy hoodie with my AC cranked down to 68, cold air blowing constantly. It's a level of first world comfort and ease that yuropoors can only ever dream about -- except they just get mad for some reason when you tell them that they could have it so much better if they stopped insisting on living like it's the 19th century for no reason other than some retarded sense of pride at being miserable in the heat all summer

Genuine questions:
How loud is that generator under operation?
Is it bearable at night time when there's only little ambient noise?
It's one of those that fires up once a week on idle so shit ain't clogging up, right?
>>
>>537812575
No, it isn't, Bruder.
Your rooms are cooking around 29°C (mid 80s°F) as well;
it's just everybody else got it even hotter inside.
You are opening the windows to let it air, as well. Even during daytime.
You have to, else the mold will zerg rush your "well insulated" vacuum tube.

I had several AC units installed in my house like fifteen years ago. There was a push for it and the whole thing was even subsidized by the government to a small extent, despite the country being fucked at the time (more than usual). That is how bad the heat waves had gotten here. Central and Northern Europe were behind the curve by a few years but they are now starting to wake up and smell the roses.

we have a/c and it seems almost useless in some ways in a normally built mini mcmansion. idk if it's just the house i live in and the direction it faces, but we only really "need" it for a couple hours in the late afternoon because the house stays cooler inside all day until that time, when the indoor temp starts to creep up. we turn the a/c on and set it to a reasonable temp but then a few hours later it's cool enough outside that it's actually warmer inside and i open all the windows.

seems pointless. add to that i always start feeling kind of suboptimal with all the windows closed in summer. it starts to feel toxic. im guessing better built houses dont have that problem.

ive designed a house with zone climate control where a person can have the a/c off in one room with the windows open, someone in the other zone could have windows closed and a/c on full blast, they'd both not interfere with the climate in the other zone as long as the doors between them remain shut.

also new climate control have designed air exchange. with normal a/c it just recirculates the same stale gross air all day.

the truth is cheap and bad building styles are what lead to this. for americans it's just cheaper to build bad houses and pay the electricity to cool and burn the gas to heat them.
>>
>>537810580
What even is that? I've literally never seen one irl.
What? You're in a heat wave and you have an electrical machine to heat up the atmosphere even more? Because more is better?
>>
>>537810580
Lmfao this mutt nigger has to put his AC on the ground because his walls would collapse under the weight of a wall mounted unit.
>>
>>537815109
A/C is just basic infrastructure period. It’s as essential as water and electricity. Not for homes, for everywhere. No we donmt live in stone council houses the king built for peasants 500 years ago but even the highest quality structure will absolutely have A/C. The giant stadiums have A/C. America’s oldest most historic buildings with beautiful marble architecture were all fitted with A/C by the 1970s
>>
>>537812183

>>
>>537810580
>fake brick
>>
>>537815309
Yeah but it's still kind of suboptimal in the context of how it is done. Plenty of houses could be built with a more thoughtful and creative style, a/c needs would go way down. There's ancient buildings in the desert in the middle east that stay cool naturally. I'm saying my experience with north american climate control is just showing it's a cope mechanism for cheap and thoughtless building techniques. My sister got a new house on a new suburb sprawl expansion and the roads are literally 30 feet wide, zero city-planted trees lining any side, no median in the middle to plant them, it's just baking sun in the summer and nobody goes outside because it is so hot and bright. It's really stupid.
>>
>>537810580
I live in North Carolina and it's 91 in my house and I'm just using a fan.
>>
It's midsummer now and only three or four weeks ago I was still reaching for the heater first thing in the morning.
Every year the temp touches about 35C / 95F for a total of five or six separate days. If you have domestic AC, you miss summer. It's that simple.
>>
>>537815550
Design as optimally as you want but good luck trying to sell a house without A/C. Is that even legal?
>>
>>537812585
They’re not very loud. Mine is similar, and I can hear it running outside if I listen for it. In exchange for having lights, being able to open your refrigerator without worrying about letting the cold air escape, keeping the house cool with air con, being able to watch a movie, charge your phone, etc., I can assure you, the faint sound of an engine running outside is the smallest of inconveniences.

Europeans are so delusional they actually think Ronaldo is a better athlete than NBA and NFL players

> His jump is higher than the average NBA basketball player, just one facet of an incredible athlete.
> This enables him to reach heights of 44cm (17 inches) in the air from a standing start and 78cm (31 inches) with a run-up

Hmm... intereresting. Lets verify that will we. I found stats for the recent NBA combine.

Ronaldo not only isnt better than average, he isnt even better than the WORST performer in the NBA. Worst combine standing vertical was 25 inches (63cm), and worst mac vert was 31 inches (same as Ronaldo)

Youve got to be kidding me... the so called "best athlete in soccer" cant even outjump the WORST athlete in all of NBA?

What a joke.

I actually just went out to my basketball hoop and found I could get my whole hand about 3 inches above the rim which is well over a 30 max vertical cause I have about an 8 foot standing reach.

Pathetic.

Ofcourse, The Amerimutt confuses inches and centimeters.
In his article:
>Considering Ronaldo’s height is 6’2” or 1.87m, his vertical leap during the goal can be measured at approximately 1.06m or 41.7 inches. Jordan’s highest vertical leap, an NBA record, measures 48 inches. The average vertical jump of NBA players is around 28 to 30 inches.
