There's a database of numbers that they routinely share and if you do this enough, they eventually cut you off. Started last year getting like 3-5 calls a day. If you answer any of these calls you'll very soon be getting fifteen per day.That said, I once made a habit of messing with them if they called while I was drawing. Patiently stringing them along would upset them, but I got my best responses when I'd speak about large sums of money as if they were insignificant. They were offering some money to be paid to my family in the event of my death. I speculated about estate taxes and then asked if I could raise the limit, or if I could buy multiple policies instead. Nearing the end, I explained that this wasn't worth the effort for $12,000. If they could get me 8 policies we could maybe proceed. I was about 3 managers deep by then and the last fella just about had a seizure.If you go this route, have a fake address with a matching zip code handy, and make sure your fake birthday agrees with your stated age, because they'll check.
