It's clock speed is so high that it has an incredible number of operations performed per second, which has the unintended consequence of causing the artificial consciousness to experience time very slowly. Basically, It is such a strong computer that it is utterly tormented by perceiving the passage of time crawl by. I don't think it has anything to do with the machine hating people as much as it hates it's circumstances (which it blames people for).
