There are exceptions to every generation. For the boomers, you had guys that actually hunted gooks in the jungle or flew difficult helicopter missions under fire. There are guys from that group, that I'd consider men that could handle themselves and not cowards.

Likewise with GenX/Millennials, you can make fun of them but there is a section of that group that also kicked down doors in the sandbox or hunted hajiis in the mountains. Those men are going to be different than the guys who've never even been in a fight in school or anything like this.

The main trope with the boomers is that they grew up with the WWII propaganda and saw their dad's generation as heroes. They can only refer to the caricatures, from those propaganda films, and from the cowboy films as well. A lot of WWII vets simply didn't talk about what happened to them. What is there to say to some NPC retard? What are they going to do with the information that you saw one of your friends guts get blown out by artillery and you couldn't save him? Most of them would stare into space.

The worst of the boomers are those that were old enough to get drafted in Vietnam but they dodged it. Whether that was making up some fake health issue or simply fucking off to France (like my American ex's dad did), those men are cowards and they know it. It's why you see them overcompensate whenever anything veteran related is brought up. They act like someone who puts on a military uniform must be stunning and brave because the boomers themselves want to project that onto them as a way to make their own cowardice less obvious.

And yes, they lived incredibly sheltered lives. As places got more "diverse", they've become a lot less unsafe. Having to deal with feral niggers and uppitdy spics will harden you. It's like in school, either you'll stand up to them or fold. Boomers grew up in like majority white places a lot of the time.
