If it's not solipsism, then I can imagine it as a simulation. What's our current equivalent? MMORPGs. So this explains the supernatural too. Say you're playing WoW and you agree with other players to meet at a certain location, say a tree in some place or other, you all meet at this tree and agree that it exists and where it exists. You're all looking at the same tree. Now, imagine a glitch occurs for one player, which is actually far, far more likely than one for all, and so the tree disappears or say transforms into a bucket. Now for you this glitch has occurred and for the others no glitch has occurred. If reality IS a simulation, glitches are certainly to occur, and a glitch on one person's computer could be a sign of an underlying issue (I have zero computer science knowledge) on that person's computer, making it more likely for other glitches to occur. That is the paranormal.
You are equating the simulations with things you already understand. It isn't that kind of simulation.
>>537853817I think it's the most robust explanation of our reality, even if our computational metaphors are very of the time and may just be useful analogies
It would be a documented phenomenon, since everybody has a cell phone camera. Paranormal is just your brain playing tricks on you.
>>537853636interesting idea. i do believe some version of that already happensi was actually thinking about this last night“augmented reality,” and internet of things and bodiesso the new pokemon has hyperspace called hyperspace lumiosethat is a simulacrum of true lumiosegenerated from the subconscious thoughts of the residents of lumiosetheir dreams fears etceteranow image when all people are hooked up to the system“choosing” their augmented adventureand their choice style can have an affect on “others worlds”either by affecting them or just presenting as different or changing from a “norm”so eventually, you could have a situationwhere the artifacts of augmented realityare so numerous and ubiquitousthat a permanent shift in the collective concsiousness occursin which new ways of thinking are basically forecloseddue to “arifact saturation”so we become enslaved in a roundabout wayas the future of possible options narrows based on present level of possible expressionsimilarly to how the santizied “newspeak” of 1984 precluded “rebellious thoughts”as it was neutered as a language deliberatelywhich limited conscious possibility and expression
>>537854122now i believe this already occurs without advanced techin the form of thought egregores and their affects on collective conscienceits just easier to visualize this with the former analogy
>>537854206previously described hypothetical technology*

>>537853636When you say simulation what is doing the simulating? A computer? Most philosophers have equated what we are experiencing as a dream.
>>537853893I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm just saying it's not like a video game. The universe is just as complicated as we understand, and even moreso. What we describe as "the paranormal" are just things from other dimensions inside of our universe that we can't sense or begin to comprehend, though they are always there and always have been. The real interesting part of simulation theory is guessing at the purpose of the simulation. Why build something as complicated and branching as this universe? I assume it would be to collect data like any other simulation, but what kind of data is so important to the builder that he would design something like this? And WHY THE FUCK does the same story keep repeating itself over and over again?
>>537853636The biggest tell that we are in a simulation is that magic doesn’t exist. The guard rails are up and they are jewish.
>>537854396Dreams themselves are essentially hyper-thematic hallucinations. I think if reality can be described as a dream, which I do sympathise with, it must itself have a theme. And a universe without a God would have no meaning and so with meaning there must be a God. Which kind of shoots the dream analogy in the foot by some strange logic.
>>537853636>Online interaction feeds internal simulation.>Internal simulation shapes emotional state.>Emotional state shapes perception.>Perception filters future input.>Loop.So when Jesus says be wise as serpents, recognize the loop, see what’s actually happening. And gentle as doves, don’t poison your own system while participating in it. Not moral. Mechanical. We’re all nervous systems. Everything you experience: Meaning, Identity, Reality texture, Symbols, Value, Narrative, Self. All of it is mediated by electrochemical patterning inside a biological prediction engine. No nervous system, no world. Which makes reality, in a very literal sense, a controlled hallucination constrained by sensory input. Your brain is not “seeing reality.” It is generating a model that best explains incoming signals. That’s standard cognitive science, not mysticism. The mind may be a simulator but dirt and the grave and the blood are not. Carry them both.
>>537853636"ReALiTy iS a SimuLaTiOn" redditard nonsense. Stop listening to academia kikes who make this into a whole career.
>>537853636How do we break it/glitch it so we can go into the dev room
>>537854648A dream sounds better than cold computer simulation even if simulation is the current nomenclature. Also its a dream of God, he got bored by himself so head came up with this place, paradise, and split into infinite fractals of consciousness that is in all of us, God's children, so we are all fractals of our father God looking at each other like dew drops on an interdimensional spider's web reflect off of each other. The whole meaning is to measure.
>>537854989It seems you have to rape children and drink their blood to access the dev console
>>537854805very well said i would just add that there is an additional component to thiswherein those individuals stimulated to particular endsform or join groups which constrain other individualsand limit their expressionso the “ceiling” for “collective dreaming”gets lowered essentially
