Would banning social media improve society?
>>
>>537855526
I’m pretty sure it’s the only thing that would help at this point
>>
>>537855526
What is that nigger doing?
>>
At the vary least there should be a ban for kids on social media. You should need to be 18 or older.

>I could not dissuade her with gold or Indian pearls, but did so by service of flattering song. I rely, like this, on the Muses in love, nor is Apollo slow to help us lovers. Cynthia, the rare, is mine! Now my feet tread the highest stars: night and day come, she’s mine! No rival steals my certain love from me: this glory will crown my furthest age.

probably contemplating rape when she'd fuck him for free
>>
>>537855526
Terrible bolt-ons. Mexico-tier work.
>>
Internet should go back to being a litmus test for retards like it was in the early 00's. There's hundreds of millions with access that don't need it or deserve it imo.

No, you need to ban the Internet and all forms of telecommunication.
>>
>>537855708
nigging
>>

When are you going to invent real women for us, Ruskiebro?
I'm tired of these tailless bitches.
>>
>>537855526
Would IP and IMEI / SERIAL banning retards like OP improve this board?
>>
Absolutely 100 percent.

yes.
>>
>>537855526
No.
>>
>>537855526
Probably not. Banning voting for anyone with a BlueSky account might help though.
>>
>>537855526
yeah
>>
>>537855526
A little. Banning niggers would improve it a lot.
>>
>>537855526
Possibly yes

>>
would banning 1pbtid memeflags from creating threads improve the quality of this board?
>>
>>537856380
they're natural
>>
>>537855526
yes but no one has the balls to do it. complete society reeducation needs to happen
>>
>>537855526
MASSIVELY, YES
>>
>>537855762
shit that's nice words
>>
>>537855526
Somewhat. Social media as a vector of information rewards memes over discussions and makes it extremely easy to manipulate users into false realities by means of algorithmically funneling like minded people together and manufacturing the illusion of a widespread approval using bot accounts.
We don't have the social framework or psychological immune system to deal with being dropped into the matrix like this and being gaslit with a neverending stream of distractions and bullshit information. If you control one of these platforms, you can eventually indoctrinate almost anyone into almost anything, especially once generative AI gets involved and responses can be tailored to the individual in real time.
Teenagers and younger *absolutely* shouldn't have access to social media, but honestly I don't think its healthy for anyone else right now either. Not until we come up with some kind of better, underlying structure to it that makes it less of a cognitohazard.

Yes, and in a way we are already experiencing that with age verification and the forced push to remove anonymity on the Internet.
>>
>>537855526
No.
It's as absurd as saying 'would everyone driving a Model T Ford again like they did 100 years ago improve society?'
>>
What a severe case of tranny clavicles holy shit. They're all troons.
They all have those pointy clavicles. ALL of them. But /pol/ too blind.
>>
>>537863266
It’s nothing like that and you are far too stupid to be trying your hand at similes
>>
>>537855526
why's she wearing a diaper? it looks so fucking stupid
>>
>>537855708
probably paying for everything. money buys you companionship.
>>
banning social media would be just as effective as banning alcohol was in the 1920s. People will find a way.
>>
>>537855526
No. We can’t improve society with normies around
>>
>>537863332
You are an idiot.

It is exactly the same as that. It's an absurd suggestion that cannot and will not happen for much of the same exact reasons. There is no world government for one thing so unless you can figure out a way to get every government to agree to massively restrict the ability of each population to make their own website, which would mean completely fucking up a huge sector of the economy which relies on the internet, then it isn't going to happen.

It would be easier to get everyone driving a model T ford again than doing what you suggest.
>>
>>537855526
Absolutely. Nobody needs to know this much about complete strangers and most people do not need as big a voice as they currently have. We used to laugh at morons. Now they go online, congregate with other morons, and form coalitions of stupidity that are so loud that they fool pundits and legislators into believing they're not morons.
>>
>>537855526
Yes but it'll never happen
>>
>>537855526
Even better idea:
Ban internet access to cellphone users
You're welcome.
>>
>>537862451
>discussions
These don't convert
