Pure swimming fun was on the agenda—or so it was meant to be.Instead, the lifeguards made a ghastly discovery in the pool early in the morning: several turds were bobbing in the water."Simply incomprehensible""It wasn't animals," says Mayor Baumann, who publicized the unsavory incident on the municipality's website on Monday. Nor was it the work of a single mischievous prankster: "Given the quantity found, we assume there were multiple perpetrators." They reportedly broke into the outdoor pool. So far, the identity of those behind this tasteless act remains unknown. The municipality of Degersheim has filed a criminal complaint.It has already been several days since the unpleasant discovery, and swimming operations were able to resume on Sunday. "However, not without arduous cleaning work," says Mayor Baumann: "A specialized cleaning company using an underwater vacuum robot was brought in."
