>constant warning sounds
>lane assist that steers you into cracks or ghosts
>auto start stop that can't be permanently disabled
>settings and profiles that reset every single time the car turns on
>infotainment that reboots or nags you randomly
>engine that slowly wrecks itself from DPF/EGR/AdBlue/wet belt cancer thanks to EU climate regs
>forced "safety" nannies that chime and fight you constantly
>expensive repairs once warranty ends because everything is over-engineered emissions garbage
>software glitches that make basic functions feel beta-tested
>higher insurance and parts costs because of all the fragile tech

Stay far away from modern VW or any EU manufactured car.

They were due for their 100k job overhaul.
>>
>150,000 jeets get hired
>>
>>537900201
That's like 2% of Germany's entire workforce lol - have fun i guess. Don't come here btw, we're full
>>
Nobody in their right mind would buy a VW EV, so that pretty much leaves the polo (22k+), and the golf (30k+). Is it ever likely they're struggling. I honestly hope a lot of european businesses go under for the shill of the past decade, the greed.
>>
>>537900201
Labor shortage my ass
>>
>>537900664
lol new Japanese Korean and Chinese cars have all that but 10 times worse, European manufacturers atleast make the nannies easy to be turned off without digging in the menu for 5 minutes every time you start the car. Anyway all new cars have cameras directed at the driver and black boxes and the masses didn’t protest it for a minute, dystopia was just accepted without any argument
>>
>>537900889
I think there are genuinely enough white-collar jobs, they don't want the goyim to know so that the university tuition can keep flowing and people live off of hopium to keep spending and not save their money.
>>
volkswagen never recovered after its emissions fraud scam and is still paying out the ass for it
>>
>>537900971
Niggercattle accept dystopia as long as its wrapped in shiny plastic, the key takeaway from the Cold War.
>>
>>537901073
Nah, this has more to do with the EV scam and handing off industrial advantages to China by mandating that we adopt technology the Chinese have been dominating for decades (batteries) instead of dropping the suicidal climate policies and instead work to improve combustion engine technology which Germany was an absolute global leader in.
>>
>>537900201
I'd prefer a very quick collapse over a drawn out death.
I just finally want to reach the point where even the normalcattle is forced to accept that things cannot continue this way so that we can start fixing things.
Nothing is worse than everything incrementally going to shit over the decades with zero improvement in sight, it just mentally drains you.
It's probably more enjoyable to live in a shithole that is visibly improving year by year than to live in a semi-shithole that is visibly declining year by year.
>>
>>537900201
This is what happens when you let Russia psyop your country. Fucking Green Party faggots taking marching orders from Putin forced Germany to shutdown their nuclear plants which is bad for the economy, but also bad for the environment as well.
>>
>>537901303
this.
it's entirely a self-chosen suicide, and even funnier, the car manufacturers pushed heavily for this since they thought the Chinese will just get tariff'd out of the market and so it's just massive profits for them as a whole continent is forced by law to switch to EV.
Then China simply restricted resource exports and now they are all dying a well-deserved death.
>>
>>537900201
VW screwed up especially in the past decade
it's a 100K jobs at stake, because it's four (4) domestic factories they wanna close
>>
>>537901352
>shutdown their nuclear plants
They didn't just shut them down, but spiked them to discourage ever restarting them. Easily in the Top 10 most evil and retarded things I've ever heard.
>>
>>537901303
germany pivoted to ev because they weren't the leader of combustion engine technology, they literally committed fraud. once germany's scam was discovered they couldn't compete legitimately

I think the ID Buzz is cool. It's better than the Model Y in pretty much every way, while being a similar size and price. But that said, I didn't buy one. So maybe you're right.
>>
>>537901494
they currently want to do the same with our gas network.
just damage it beyond a point where repairing it becomes prohibitively expensive.

What are the unions going to do? Strike? Complain?
They do not understand the scope of the crisis. If VW, and most major car manufacturers in Europe do not completely re invent themselves, and massively increase productivity in the next 5-10 years, they will go bust. There wont be any factories left, no jobs.
The unions should be scramblig and working on programs to capacitate employees and make them more productive.
>>
>>537901761
Your only choices are going to quickly become hybrids. It's gotten so bizarre there's a company that sells a car using three different fuel methods.
>>
>>537901786
Say that after placing your head a few feet from a tailpipe and breathing in the exhaust for a few minutes. After emission standards were put in place many cities had improved air quality. Fewer children had asthma problems. VW couldn't pass a test other car makers were able to.
>>
>>537901824
Toyota reliability is massively overstated, and there are a bunch of recent examples proving it.
I think Honda is the best premium Japanese manufacturer, and Suzuki is good at the entry level. I drive a Kia because it's literally the only option here if you want a minivan, but I really like it nonetheless.

I also ride a Honda motorbike, and it's good enough that I will literally never consider any brand other than Honda. If Honda doesn't make it, I won't buy it.

You're retarded if you think the fake and gay political emissions tests has anything to do with how dangerous the fumes are of modern VW cars. Try to stay behind a 2018 VW and a 1998 VW and see the difference. Modern cars you can barely sense the fumes.
>>
>>537903496
Then explain it. I just reread parts of the wiki article describing it as VW cheating on the emissions test. What am I getting wrong?
>>
>>537903798
Well duh technology has improved after regulatory laws were gradually increased and 20 years had gone by. The same emission standards were adopted by the EU after a few years.

the "base" is not collapsing.
they are firing everyone that works real jobs and converting the manufacturing halls to drones

next conversion will be the VW engine plants around germany. total conversion to drones for Rheinmetall and Quantum System Industries

95% of all drones in Ukraine now come from Germany through Lemberg
>>
>>537903829
vw wasnt cheating on emission tests, they were "cheating" in regular driving. In a way what they did wasnt even illegal in germany, more a legal loophole they retrograde stuffed when found out.

The esp unit told the ecu if the car is doing the tests cycle on a dyno or actually moving in traffic.
In traffic they lowered the ecr rate which increases nox emmission but lowers the rate of carbon buildup that plaques all direct injection engines and require regular manual cleaning (something good for the customer)
The cheater cars got a software update that raised the rate, the next gen of engines then had SCR cats fitted so they could lower the egr rate again. That however came at the cost of literally raising base price for diesel cars by several grand for the DEF shit, Simmultaneos shrinking the fuel tanks to make room for the DEF tank and raising weight which has to be compensated by cutting weight elsewhere.
The cheater cars where the last simple diesel engines, unironically still a good buy today
>>
>>537901761
Unironically get the golf R, also available in variant (wagon) body, probably the last car generation to have a good petrol engine. They’re cheap af and over here you can negotiate up to 25% discount off of the sales price right now.

>>537904451

>>537902166
>Toyota reliability is massively overstated
toyota has an absolutely fucking amazing hybrid powertrain (esp the e-cvt, arguably best transmission in production rn) and that shit is carrying them hard
they're dropping the ball hard on EVs and software ofc, like every trad auto mfg, but as long as a huge portion of the planet cant into EVs (because rentcucks cant install charging at home), that shit will keep carrying them

>inb4 leftist etc
fuck niggers, trannnies, jannies, etc etc
and im also a petrolhead too, all glory to the e39 m5, the LS3, the busso (not to be confused with bussy) and all that, but credit where credit is due.
the toyota hybrid powertrain is awesome.
boring af, but excellent for commuting appliances.
>>
pic related is the future , like it or not , EU car manufacturers should focus on that since apparently we don't possess the resources to pool together for mass producing batteries we should focus on the electro mechanical moving parts.
VW literally started as a company producing cars for the common people , similarly to other EU brands , then they ve got all retarded with SUVs status symbol pos, were they to return to B segment hatchbacks with no retarded prices they d sell a lot imo
>>
>>537900201
Well i guess we dont need those immigrants anyway then
>>
>>537904535
I work for a vw supplier(still, looking for something new rn tho). The next generation of vws is gonna be fully electrocucked. They’re also looking for cost cuts across all part commodities right now, it’s crazy. On the other hand never ever buy the Mercedes hybrids especially the s-class amg. Those have worse reliability than French cars even

jesus christ it must be bad that they're worse than peugot and renault

>>

>Hmm. I should tax Chinese imports more, that will solve the problem.
>>
It fucking sucks, companies are not hiring in Germany and unemployment is skyrocketting beyond the reported rates (6% unemployment rate, real number is more than that).
I am considering suicide if I cannot find a job in half a year or so, getting benefits is nice but its not enough to "enjoy life" and stay positive when you get rejected from everywhere.

I can’t complain about my job but if vw cuts 15% of headcount globally then it surely is going to be cascaded down to tier1 and tier2 suppliers sooner than later. What could keep me afloat here is the value engineering projects which are kicking off right now, car manufacturers are hungry for every cent they can shave off, but this will impact quality negatively over the next few years of cars imo. The golden era of European cars is coming to an end, we let china get the best of us and then dump prices on our market. Would love to get a ea888 car myself right now but I don’t feel secure enough to take it as a loaner or drop so much cash on a vehicle

they are moving production to Turkey. No one is talking about the real reason why VW is breaking apart and that is the failed China business. Cars still sell well in Europe so to maintain their profit margin they now have to save production costs in Europe and that means moving production to cheaper countries.
>>
>>537905462
>How the fuck am I supposed to find schwarzarbeit. Ex knew someone who offered it, it was simple stuff like setting up networking infrastructure at an office etc.

>uh oh! Russia isn't worshipping the globohomo holy trinity! QUICK SANCTION THEM AND LET THE MUTTS BLOW UP THE PIPELINES!
>no you have no nuclear and no gas
>meanwhile Russia, China, and even we in Sweden are building more and more nuclear
But wait, it's not over yet. Now that the German industrial base is basically collapsing, they're ALSO going to go to war with Russia. No they can't produce more than 3 tanks a month and they'd have zero hopes of producing enough interceptors to even come close to defending production facilities, but that won't stop them.

Stellantis is actively looking into leaving the North American market.
