Rent freeze also creates a situation were you will have forever tenants, and they will NEVER leave because they wont be able to find a better deal, which means there is no mobility in the market, meaning it stagnates HARD. Rent freeze is a short term fix by selling future investors and tenants up the river. Rent freeze specifically benefits the elderly the most who have fixed income, IE once again, we are fucking over gen x y and Z for boomers.
