Can someone explain why Indians are always throwing shit in rivers? I have seen them doing it so many times in London when I have gone for a walk along the Thames. Why do they destroy rivers like this?
I learned during my study abroad in China that the thing about throwing trash into rivers is that it floats downstream and becomes someone else's problem. I imagine it is the same in India and this is why 90% of the plastic in the world's oceans comes out of the Indus, Ganges, Yellow, Yangtze, and Pearl watersheds.
