If you feel guilty about the underpayment at accidental self-checkout "theft", would you you go back to the store, explaining the situation e.g. "self-checkout messed up the coffee beans as potatoes", and offer to pay the difference ?
>>

I've been tempted, my protein powder is now £4 more expensive than what it was a couple of months ago
>>
>>537932862
>protein powder
Why do you need that?
Why not eat just eggs?
>>
>>537932666
i've never scammed at self-checkout cause i'm not a nigger.
>>
>>537933042
Then you're a good goy. You would go back to the supermarket and offer that money, right?
>>
>>537932955
>bro just eat 30+ eggs a day
also you're not scamming the supermarket jew in 2026, cameras are everywhere and they'll eventually try to rape you. if you're going to steal shit just walk outside with the groceries

>30+ eggs a day

>To reach your daily protein goals, the recommended amount of eggs ranges from 3 to 4 eggs per day for weight management and optimal muscle repair.

>>537933228
>cameras are everywhere
Yeah but what if that happens at self-checkout instead of you just walking out and actually stealing which is an actual theft?
>>
>>537932666
baaaaaah
baaah
baaall goy have you any gold
yes master yes master 3 billion to israel more
>>
>>537932666
how the fuck would even 'mess up' at the self check out?
you'd need to be functionally retarded
>>
>>537933100
>You would go back to the supermarket and offer that money, right?
no, i wouldn't make a mistake at the checkout in the first place, but if i somehow did and didn't notice it until i got home i wouldn't fucking bother.
>>
>>537933422
Giving money to the Bible people in Israel is a good behavior bro. You are helping the fight against the evil, and fulfilling the prophecies of bible, no ?

>>537933549
>you'd need to be functionally retarded
I am speaking hypothetically considering we're all retarded.
The question is whether you would go back and offer money for underpaying for that coffee bag? The CEO's salary must be just as high as previous month for us all in our great democracies to live further better!
>>
>>537932666
The supermarket deputizes a machine to transact on their behalf to save costs. They do not get to roll that back when the machine allows for a fuckup that a cashier would've caught.
>>
>>537932666
If I lived in a high trust society, sure. Some supermarket that has face recognition cameras pointed at me, makes me stop for random checks and sign up for their shitty data harvesting loyalty cards to not get price gouged? Get fucked
>>
>>537932666
Im convinced that self check outs are either tax schemes or are subsidized by tech companies for data mining.
>>
>>537932666
What do you mean would?
Ofc I would. Did it before will do it again.
>>
>>537933866
>data harvesting loyalty cards

We have the same thing here.. It started during covid.

All stores have loyalty cards and to afford even basic products like milk, eggs, butter, bread that aren't massively overpriced, you must use a phone app or loyalty card (physical)

Picrel butter is overpriced by 40 cents if you don't use a loyalty card.
>>
>>537932666
It depends on if I liked the business or not. Shartmart? No. A white mom and pop store that happens to have a self-checkout? Of course.

How would you feel if your decision to not go back and pay what YOU "STOLE" meant that the CEO of that particular retail chain could not afford a new McLaren?
>>
>>537932666
they know you "accidentally" took something keep tabs on you. Just enjoy your free Snickers and don't keep doing it (in some areas they wait until you steal enough for felony charges)
>>
>>537932666
Can't be done here, we have the most advanced self checkouts in the world (don't ask why because my answer might be racist)
>>
>>537932666
No.
I've been overcharged and undercharged countless times. I've also *thought* I had been overcharged and undercharged only to discover later I wasn't.
It's just a thing that happens, and generating a new transaction over a very minor error is a waste of everyone's time.

In Europe due to GDPR facial recognition in stores is not legal, so they can't track you by face, but maybe by clothes you wear lol

in the us face recognition is totally fine and legal, yeah, in walmart they have nsa type of software they use to find repeat offenders between states since all face database is stored in cloud
>>
>>537934734
That's good. Shoplifters get flagged as soon as they enter the store. Fuck them
>>
>>537934751
>destroy some goods so you can't have it
Yeah they do it for psychological reasons, they would rather throw it out than give it for free after expiration date ends. Because getting free food would be the only reason people come to the store, hence they lose profits and revenue.

you would probably go to a foodbank in that case. You used to be able to just show up and they'd give you bags of top quality branded stuff. No one abused it because it was shameful to take charity you didn't need. Sadly it can't work that way any more for reasons no one can figure out. Must be the economy.

it does nothing for you, protein does not become energy, extra protein does not make you built. it makes you sick all on its own. they are also full of toxic metals and other fun stuff.
they have literally zero benefit other than serving as a red herring to distract others from the fact you use steroids. "oh, uh, it's my, uh, protein powder, yeah."
if you want the very definition of goyslop, it's protein powder. the benefits are illusory, and purely marketing nonsense.
you need to be in a caloric surplus to gain muscle as well as do resistance exercise. now, extra protein can give you a slight boost to igf-1, but at the cost of lots of health issues. it ages you prematurely, and helps cancer grow.
the gladiators ate a diet of almost entirely barley, yet were super fit athletes as well as sex symbols. these guys were only getting 11% of their calories from protein, which is actually 2x the human need.
lots of milk protein also causes insulin resistance, and you need glucose to power your muscles.
you can do just as well by adding in peas, beans and whole grains. beans on toast is legit, as well as cheap as hell. humus is super easy and cheap. you also won't need to cut as much, as you won't get fat from plant proteins.

>When Carl Lewis began working with John McDougall in 1990, he adopted a strict vegan, low-fat, high-carbohydrate diet that derived approximately 10–12% of its total calories from protein.

>Unlike typical athletic diets of the time that emphasized high protein intake, the McDougall plan focused on maximizing carbohydrate consumption (60–70% of calories) to fuel high-intensity performance. Lewis’s protein intake came exclusively from plant sources such as beans, lentils, grains, and vegetables, rather than meat, dairy, or supplements.

>Initially, Lewis experienced listlessness during his transition in early 1991 and suspected a protein deficiency. However, Dr. McDougall identified the issue as a calorie deficit resulting from Lewis's high training volume, not a lack of protein. Upon increasing his total caloric intake—primarily through starches and fresh juices (24–32 ounces daily)—Lewis regained his energy and achieved his best competitive year in 1991, setting world records in the 100-meter dash and the 4x100-meter relay at age 30

this was one of the best athletes to ever live and he did it all on a low protein diet. this allowed him to keep muscle mass and lose as much fat as possible.

Wouldn't intentionally miss-scan an item, but would not return to a store to resolve an error in my favor. Call it the cost of having an untrained unpaid worker (me) manning the register.

>How could you pay even if you didn't had money even in "HIGH TRUST" society?
credit
there were complex systems of credit long before money existed
money exists to pay standing armies. the money is made currency by law, and at the end of the year, everyone has to give the government a set number of these tokens to pay for them.

WHAT?
I literally put everything bought last day expiration or something already expired in the freezer and it can last months.

Then why does coffee costs 20 euros, why does extra virgin olive oil cost 20 euros?
Why does bread cost 2 euros instead of 40 cents like it was 20 years ago?

white babies can't have cow's milk either, it makes them sick, not a race thing
normal baby formula is pretty wild tho
this explains the massive price difference too
this is why you marry a titcow wife, you can milk her for profit

I do the same thing with meat products, saves me a ton of money and I never had any health problems, in fact I'm doing much better than younger vegan cucks.

It's not the customer's job to correct corporate errors. That shit is calculated into pricing anyway. I should be rewarded additional compensation for experiencing complications in expected service, and for being given a moral test while getting groceries.

>I am speaking hypothetically considering we're all retarded.
speak for yourself, retard.
>>
>>537936376
>Then why does coffee costs 20 euros, why does extra virgin olive oil cost 20 euros?
supply and command
there is a coffee shortage because vietnam and brazil had severe droughts and their crops failed, and they make up a large percentage of the world supply
olive oil is similar, drought in the olive producing regions
and those donuts are in the garbage where they belong
and then everything else costs more because of the iran crisis. everything needs oil to move, ergo anything that is moved is more expensive to move. and lots of food, not just oil, goes through there too.

Depends entirely where I'm shopping.
If it's walmart then fuck no. They already treat honest shoppers as potential criminals.
If it's a nice store like a loca grocer or Aldi then yes.

I stole Yu-Gi-Oh cards all the time by putting them in my mom's purse. Don't feel bad because trading cards are basically gambling for kids. It's evil. I pirate tons of stuff but I'll also buy games if they release it on PC/PlayStation. Nintendo keep burning bridges by making you buy the same game over and over every generation so will never buy another Nintendo game on a Nintendo console. If they released it on PC I'd buy it.

In what way?
I hear there are not even physical security guards anymore. Instead there is a room full of CCTV watchers somewhere in a different state.
